The 2020 Taste of Epcot International Food and Wine Festival began this year in July with the reopening of the parks, and is scheduled to run through the fall! But this year, we noticed there were fewer booths than what we’ve seen during past festivals.
But, to help take the sting off the lower number of booths, we learned that some of our favorite booths would soon return! And one of those booths, The Alps Booth, already returned in August.
Now, one of our OTHER favorites, Flavors From Fire, is set to return. AND IT SHOULD BE OPEN TOMORROW! This is not a drill, y’all! It’s back, baby! We spoke to a chef at the booth today and he let us know they should be open tomorrow and plan to stay open for the remainder of the festival. Here’s how the booth looked while wandering around World Showcase today:
We also noticed that social distancing markers and a hand sanitizing station were already in place.
This booth originally opened in 2017 and is home to some of our favorite Food and Wine Festival eats! The Smoked Corned Beef with Warm Crispy Potatoes, Pickled Onions, and Blonde Ale Beer Fondue is consistently one of our top picks at the WHOLE festival. We can’t resist all those flavors together, and we even tell people who don’t like corned beef to get it anyway because BEER CHEESE and thick crunchy chips! This is one of those foods we not-so-secretly wish was available in a straight-up BUCKET. It’s…that…good.
We’re also big fans of the Charred Chimichurri Skirt Steak on a Smoked Corn Cake with Pickled Vegetable Slaw and Cilantro Aïoli. Every component of this dish works so well together, from the steak’s char and marinade to the smoky sweet corn cake, crispy slaw, and creamy cilantro aïoli!
No menu is posted yet, but you know we’ll share it as soon as we can! This year’s booth is sponsored by The NFL on ESPN.
This is such a great booth, and we can’t wait to order up some of our fave dishes there! BRING ON THE FIYAH!!!
We’ll be sure to keep an eye on other happenings at the Taste of EPCOT Food and Wine Festival this year. So stay tuned!
