Disneyland Paris is getting its largest transformation in recent times!
In addition to Avengers Campus and a totally new immersive hotel experience, the international park will also be receiving a Frozen-themed land.
A brand new immersive hotel experience will be offered at Disneyland Paris when Disney’s Hotel New York- The Art of Marvel opens June 15, 2020.
The renovated Art Deco-inspired hotel will have you stepping directly into the pages of your favorite Marvel comics. And get this, booking is NOW open!
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is an iconic Disney attraction that you can find in Disney World’s Hollywood Studios, Disneyland Paris’ Walt Disney Studios Park, and Tokyo DisneySea. Disney California Adventure has a similar drop attraction, but it has been rethemed to become Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: Breakout!
Today, Disney gave us a closer look at some thrilling new updates featured in the attraction in Paris!
Earlier this week we found out that the NEW Avengers Land coming to Disney California Adventure and Disneyland Paris will be known as Avengers Campus.
But at D23 today, even BIGGER details about what we will be able to experience inside the land have been announced!!
It’s no secret that with Disney’s purchase of the Marvel Universe, the Walt Disney Company was banking on bringing superheroes to its many theme parks. Disneyland in California and Disneyland Paris are getting superhero-themed lands, and Hong Kong Disneyland is getting a Marvel-themed ride.
But even with copious development in Walt Disney World, the only major Marvel Comics-related growth is Epcot’s Guardians of the Galaxy roller coaster. There’s no Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, or big green Hulk in sight.
Universal Studios, as you may have guessed if you’re a fan of their hero-themed rides and entertainment, retained the rights to the Marvel characters in an agreement signed in 1994 between Marvel and MCA (which would eventually become part of NBC Universal). But there were two caveats. One: Universal had to actually use the characters to retain control over them, and Two: the agreement split the country down the middle, and the rules applied separately to the areas east and west of the Mississippi River. This just in, from Disney… “The Avengers are setting up new Headquarters and training facilities around the globe to inspire all potential recruits willing to step up and become something more. As part of this global initiative, Tony Stark has founded the Worldwide Engineering Brigade — or WEB for short— to develop advancements in super-powered technology, including new enhancements to Spider-Man’s suit as their debut project. By bringing together the world’s brightest young inventors, the WEB is creating new interfaces that will empower all of us to join the ranks of Earth’s Mightiest.”
Walt Disney Imagineering’s Global Marvel Portfolio is currently working with their partners across Studios and Entertainment to “create exciting experiences and attractions where you can join fan-favorite Super Heroes” at both Disneyland Resort in the U.S. and Disneyland Paris. [Read more…]

Are you ready to become part of a BIGGER UNIVERSE? Because Disney — together with Marvel Studios and Marvel Themed Entertainment — is developing three news areas that “will champion the next generation of Super Heroes.” New heroic experiences are on the way to Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong Disneyland, and DISNEYLAND RESORT in California!
Disneyland Resort will debut an entirely new Super Hero-themed land in 2020, with further anticipated experiences beyond that.
As part of the evolution of Disney California Adventure park, the transformation will result in a “completely immersive Super Hero universe,” bringing together The Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-Man, and the Avengers. The new land will be anchored by the Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: BREAKOUT! attraction, in the current “a bug’s land” area.
Note that “a bug’s land” will close entirely in late summer to make way for this new land. See ya later Chew-Chew Train!
“We’ll always have Paris…” And if YOU Have Disneyland Paris on your immediate travel itinerary, then you’ll be thrilled to learn about Le Rendez-vous Gourmand de Disneyland Paris. It’s the first-ever Food and Wine Festival for Disneyland Paris!
Running from September 8th (TODAY!) through the 24th, the Rendez-vous will celebrate the flavors of France in honor of the park’s 25th Anniversary. Guests will be able to visit six Chalets (a la the Epcot Food and Wine Festival’s Marketplace Booths) in Walt Disney Studios Park. [Read more…]
Join us in welcoming Guest Author Mark Zambrano with a review from Disneyland Paris. Today, he takes us to the brand new Bistrot Chez Rémy!
Bistrot Chez Rémy is the new 370 seat table service restaurant located on La Place de Rémy at Walt Disney Studios Park, the largest in Disneyland Paris.
Immaculately themed with Disney details around every bend, this rat-sized addition to Disneyland Paris is a fantastic chance to step inside the wonderful world of Ratatouille.
Follow the signs from Toy Story Playland to La Place de Rémy, where roofs are crowded with crooked chimneys, classic Parisian street lamps line the cobblestone streets, and hidden Rémy’s abound.
Imagineers seemed to have spared no expense creating this “Pixar Paris” that transports guests to the City of Light right in the middle of a Disney Park.
Adjacent to the incredible new ride, Ratatouille: The Adventure – L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy, is Bistrot Chez Rémy, serving French food with flare and shrinking diners to the size of Rémy & Co. with the help of some very oversized furniture, cutlery, and other accoutrements.
As soon as you walk through the door of Chez Rémy, you are immersed in Ratatouille. From Chef Gusteau’s Golden Fork award, Rémy’s honorary Doctorate of Culinary Arts, Anton Ego’s famous critique or the famed “Anyone Can Cook!” cookbook, the walls are awash with memorabilia to set the mood.
Make sure to pay special attention as you walk past the check in desk – you might just spy a 5 euro note framed on the wall. It’s the tip left by Chez Rémy’s very first customer!
Continue on to the dining room where champagne corks serve as stools, giant plates divide the booths and lights come courtesy of candles on spoons. Tropical drink umbrellas add flare to jelly topped tables, Christmas lights hang through giant copper pots on the ceiling and measuring spoons dress the walls with tacks.
You can tell great pains were taken to replicate the final scene of the movie to a T. As we were guided to our table (AKA the top of a sardine can), we barely had enough time to take it all in.
Our bottle cap chairs were surprisingly comfortable as we perused the menu – all prix fixe with the exception of dessert, if you so choose. While offerings are limited, there should be something for everyone on the menu – including vegetarians. The dish made famous by [Read more…]
