At Disney World, there’s an unofficial golden rule: if you get in line before park close, you’re riding. Even if the park technically closes while you’re still waiting, as long as you’re in the queue, you’re good. But Epic Universe? Yeah, they’re not playing by that rule.
Universal’s Epic Universe has been officially open to the public for just about a month, with several weeks of previews before then. Over that period, the park has gained rave reviews from many, but some issues have continuously cropped up.

Epic Universe has officially opened (as of May 22, 2025), and the “expert tips” are already getting borderline extreme. Some of them? Genuinely helpful. But a few? We won’t lie — we’ve been spending a lot of time at Universal Orlando’s new Epic Universe theme park. The new park pretty much does live up to its “epic” name, after all.
We’ve also enjoyed checking out ALL the restaurants and snack spots throughout Epic Universe in each of its five lands, but our most recent visit uncovered some exciting news: a NEW restaurant will be opening in Epic Universe in 2026. Yep, Epic Universe is already getting ready to add something NEW.

We’ve been keeping our ears to the ground (and boots on it, too), and while some rumors are just wild internet talk, a few of them? They’re actually legit. Whether it’s about ride wait times, kid-friendliness, or unexpected sleeper hits, we’ve seen it firsthand — and we’ve got thoughts. So let’s break down the five rumors that turned out to be TRUE (or at least, mostly true).
If you’re not using early entry at Epic Universe, you’re leaving time (and ride count) on the table.

Universal hotel guests get into Epic Universe a full hour before the rest of the crowd. That’s twice as much early access as Disney’s 30-minute head start—and yes, it makes a major difference. After testing out a bunch of early entry tricks over multiple visits, I’ve locked in my favorite hacks that genuinely made my day smoother, cooler, and way more productive. Here are five early entry moves that I swear by—and think you should try too.

Atlantic
You see, we’re on a mission. That mission is to try ALL the food we can in Universal Orlando’s theme park, and there are still some things we haven’t managed to get to yet (our stomachs are only so big, y’all). So we’re heading back to Atlantic, which you’ll find in Celestial Park, to try this burger that we’ve heard a lot of good things about. We can’t help it. Epic Universe is…well…EPIC. And there’s so much to talk about. Not only did this new theme park bring five NEW lands to Universal Orlando, but it also brought new food and new restaurants — which you KNOW we get excited about. Plus, if you stay at a Universal Orlando hotel, you get a SWEET perk: you can get into Epic Universe (and other Universal Orlando parks) an hour earlier than everyone else. Well, that early admission perk just got a DARK update.
