food IS a theme park
We love to be at Disney World, but we keep hearing more and more “Disney has gotten completely out of control.”
Here’s why.
It’s basically the law that August signifies the beginning of the fall season.
Sure, it’s still ridiculously hot in Florida but we’re ready for all the Halloween treats and pumpkin spice! That said, there were a LOT of new foods to try in Disney World this August and not everything had a pumpkin theme. In fact, World Princess Week brought us a ton of princess treats! Find out the five BEST and the five WORST things we ate in Disney World this August.
Disney’s biggest event of the year is almost here!
The D23 Expo, which takes place from September 9th-11th in Anaheim, California, will feature panels where Disney executives will likely share HUGE news about projects in the works for the theme parks, movie studios, and more. We’ve already taken a look at some of the merch you’ll be able to get at the Expo, but there’s also some Expo-themed merch you can get online right now!
BOO to you! It’s officially the Halloween season and we’ve been celebrating all around the Disney parks.
At Disney World, we’ve trick-or-treated at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and over in Disneyland, we’ve been taking in all the sights and sounds of the spooky season — including the GIANT Mickey jack-o-lantern that greets you as you enter the park. This iconic pumpkin officially marks the start of Halloween in Disneyland, so it’s no wonder that Disney would release a similar Mickey jack-o-lantern for guests to bring home with them. There’s just one little problem, though…
We’re experts when it comes to alllllll things Disney dining.
We’ve been to every EPCOT festival, experienced all the holidays in the parks, and have snacked our way through Disney World more times than we can count. And YOU can be a Disney food expert too with our DFB Guides to Walt Disney World dining. In fact, you can get our DFB Guides on SALE right now — but you’ll have to be fast!
If you love a good brunch in a relaxing and fun environment, we have some news for you!
There are a number of spots that serve up brunch in Disney World. From the delicious offerings at Homecomin’ in Disney Springs to a Mimosa Flight at Whispering Canyon Cafe, there are plenty of things to try if brunch is your favorite meal of the day. But now we’ve got some EXCITING Disney brunch news!
One of the least magical parts about The Most Magical Place on Earth can be the CROWDS. No one wants to navigate a sea of people on their way to find a Dole Whip or ride Dumbo the Flying Elephant. Although it’s definitely possible to have a great trip even when there are big crowds in the parks, it’s much more relaxing if you can find a time to visit when there aren’t a lot of people there.
Recently, however, it’s been tricky to find a time when Disney World isn’t packed to the rafters. Even when it was supposed to be Disney’s “slow” season, we’ve been seeing the big crowd levels remain pretty much constant. But this week we’ve noticed a major change in the parks — we can stretch out our arms and NOT hit 18 people in the process. Seriously, the parks haven’t just been slightly less crowded — sometimes they feel like a ghost town. So what brought on this shift? Could it be that revenge travel is FINALLY ending? Let’s take a look. [Read more…]
Guess what September is?
It’s the beginning of the football season AND the beginning of Oktoberfest (yes, Oktoberfest starts in September). That means it’s time to grab some delicious snacks to watch some games AND drink some beer while yelling PROST. Sure, you could celebrate the latter at Biergarten in EPCOT, but you can also celebrate BOTH football season and Oktoberfest at ONE spot in Disney Springs!
Do you love your Amazon Prime membership and all the perks it comes with? Are you a Disney fan? Do you love getting discounts and perks? Well, we’ve got some BIG news for you.
You may already have your Annual Pass to the parks, your Disney+ subscription, and your D23 membership — but you may soon need to add another Disney membership to your list (and incorporate it into your budget).
If you want to buy new Disney merchandise, there are a few different ways to do it. You can visit a Disney park to find all kinds of items in gift shops, head to shopDisney (Disney’s official online store), or find Disney collections through other sites like Amazon. But soon there could be a NEW way to get the merchandise you want.
Disney is working on a new system to link merchandise to its Disney+ streaming service. Some of that merchandise could even be exclusive to Disney+ subscribers. Learn more about this potential new system and when it could start here.
