Yesterday, we shared with you that some NBA games were postponed, and set to be rescheduled, due to protests from the players.
Now, we’ve got another update on the NBA coming from a Disney World resort.
Good mornin’, pals! We’re back with a new DFB Video to help you make those Disney decisions — like how to spend your money!
There are LOTS of cool ways to spend $100 in Disney World so we’re narrowing down some of the coolest, most unique, and BEST ways to use that cash. Seriously, there’s something for everyone when it comes to cool Disney experiences.
Earlier this year, it was announced that Splash Mountain in both Disney World and Disneyland would be re-themed to a Princess and the Frog attraction.
Since that announcement, we’ve seen Splash Mountain merchandise flying off the shelves in Disney World (although some was recently restocked). Now, it seems some references to Splash Mountain have disappeared over at Disneyland.
UPDATE: NBA players voted this morning to resume the season tomorrow. Today’s games have been postponed.
Several NBA teams have voted to boycott the remainder of the season in Disney World.
The NBA was one of the major leaders when it came to the return of sports in the US. Now, after a successful season restart, some teams have expressed an interest in boycotting the rest of the season in response to the police shooting of Jacob Blake in Wisconsin. As of this morning, three games have been postponed and the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers have cast votes in favor of boycotting the remainder of the season.
If you’re visiting Disney World in the summer or during hurricane season (which is…basically half of the year!), you can expect frequent if not DAILY rainfall to come your way. Some of these storms can be a quick sprinkle while others are torrential downpours!
When these storms roll through the parks, a lot of guests may be inclined to throw social distancing out the window in favor of quickly seeking shelter. Ever seen gaggles of guests huddled under awnings or in gift shop doorways during a storm? It’s not so simple to avoid the storms in a reopened Disney World nowadays!
Now many of you don’t mind a little rain, and take advantage of the (slightly) cooler weather to ride even more rides! But for those of you who want to avoid get too drenched in Disney World, here’s what YOU can do to maintain social distancing during a downpour.

The United States Centers for Disease Control changed their testing policy to note that asymptomatic people may not need to be tested, even if they’ve come into contact with an infected individual. ABC reports that health experts are surprised by this decision and are pushing back on the CDC’s guidelines, maintaining that asymptomatic young people are a significant vector for passing the virus to others at this time.
Upon reopening, Disney World implemented a policy that requires face masks for all Cast Members and guests age two and older.
Guests are only permitted to remove their masks while visiting one of the designated relaxation zones, or while eating or drinking in a stationary, distanced location.
