Acclaimed actress Linda Lavin has passed away unexpectedly at the age of age of 87.

Lavin, best known for her starring role on the classic sitcom Alice – – for which she was nominated for an Emmy and two Golden Globes – – passed “unexpectedly due to complications from recently discovered lung cancer” according to what one of her PR representatives told Deadline.

The Festival of the Arts Has BEGUN!
The 2023 International Festival of the Arts is being held in EPCOT and the park is filled with art in many forms. Along with the Broadway performances and innovative food booths, you can view a wide variety of visual art at this festival.
Disney World is currently celebrating its 50th Anniversary in a BIG way. There have been new snacks, firework shows, cavalcades, and more. Of course, the party wouldn’t be complete without a LOT of new souvenirs. Some of the merchandise we’ve seen celebrates Disney’s history, with vintage designs and logos from Disney’s past. And some of those items are serious throwbacks!
50th Anniversary Merchandise
One of the “old-school” souvenirs we spotted last year was a throwback to popular souvenirs of Disney’s not-so-distant past. Remember those little Vinylmation toys that used to be super popular in the parks? There were new 50th Anniversary Vinylmation figures available online and in Disney World, and they sold out FAST. Alice In Wonderland is one of those classic Disney movies that still captures our imaginations. And this year, it celebrated its 70th anniversary!
Alice at EPCOT
And in celebration of the big anniversary, Disney has dropped a ton of merchandise, including a lot of fun Mary Blair-inspired items! AND the Baby Care Center at Magic Kingdom even recently got a brand new Alice in Wonderland theme! And if you recall, D23 released a massive — albeit expensive — collection of plushes of Alice in Wonderland characters!

Disneyland spent most of last year closed due to the global pandemic. So its guests didn’t really get much of a 65th anniversary party, although Disney did release a ton of 65th anniversary merchandise.
