Since the parks are closed “until further notice,” Disney has planned to furlough non-essential salaried and hourly non-union employees starting April 19th.

Although this original statement didn’t include unionized workers, now Disney has begun extending furloughs to other employees of the company. While the American Federations of Musicians Local 389 has come to an agreement with Disney, other unions are also making agreements with Disney to furlough for workers.
Can you believe that it’s almost been a month since every single Disney Park around the world closed??

Since many of the parks won’t be reopening “until further notice,” we’ve all been anxiously waiting for any news about when we can set foot in Disney again (we just miss it so much!). And, it’s going to be a bit longer before guests can visit Tokyo Disneyland.

Although Disney has been trying to do everything they can to help by donating excess food, donating masks and other materials, and even extending Annual Passes, the company may still take a hit financially with the recent closures. Since ALL the Disney Parks are closed (which hasn’t happened before now) and Disney Cruise Line sailings are cancelled, Disney is likely to see some changes in the aftermath. And now we have insight into just how much the closures are impacting the value of the Walt Disney Company.

While we might not be in the Disney Parks right now, we’ve still been visiting virtually by watching celebrity live streams and the Magic Happens parade on repeat! And, we’re taking you with us all the way to Disneyland Paris for an extra enchanting show.

Disney (with the help of Cast Members) has been giving back by sprinkling some pixie dust by providing rain ponchos for hospitals and donating food from Disneyland and Disney World to local communities! But, the magic doesn’t stop there since Disney’s helping hands are still serving others all the way in sunny Hawaii!
During the four-month-long closure of Disney World, a lot of Disney trips were canceled automatically by the company or by the families who were supposed to be going on them.
