While Walt Disney World’s theme parks — including EPCOT — are never truly empty, that doesn’t mean that some days aren’t busier than others.

For example, when it comes to Disney World’s second gate, the best days to avoid (if scheduling allows) are spread throughout the year, timed with holidays, school vacations, and even the park’s own annual events.

I know the fastest modes of Disney transportation, the secret shortcuts in the parks, and yes, even where the best bathrooms are located. But perhaps some of the most valuable tips I have are the ones I learned from visiting Disney World on its most crowded days of the year.
If you want to have the best Disney World vacation possible, the trick is to be prepared! And that process starts months before your trip.

You’ll need to think in advance about where you want to stay and book your hotel quickly before the rooms fill up. You’ll want to make your dining reservations as soon as you hit that 60-day mark so you get the best options. But perhaps most importantly of all — you need to make your Disney Park Passes in advance so you can actually get into the theme parks!
