The Disney College Program helps make those kind of dreams come true every year, and it looks like Disney is getting ready to bring in the new class of Cast Members because applications are now open for the summer and fall 2025 Disney College Program.

I’m here to chat about the Disney College Program!
I participated in the Disney College Program in the fall of 2022, and was lucky enough to be a placed at the Haunted Mansion. I was SUPER fortunate to end up with such a cool role (they’re all random), but I still dealt with the same hardships that any College Program participant (CP) had to deal with. I’m here to shed light on some of the hard truths of the Disney College Program that I simply didn’t expect.
I was a Disney World Cast Member, and what I’m going to tell you today is something that a lot of former Cast Members don’t talk about.
Cast Members!
A lot of other folks on the DFB team also had their time of making magic! We all love to reminisce together and share experiences, inside jokes, and helpful information that we learned and gathered throughout our time working for the Mouse. Oh, and we love to share that information with you all! Now, we’re here with some things that our time as a Cast Member taught us were… not the best move. A lot of Cast Members are hesitant to talk about these things because they weren’t able to voice their opinion on it for SO LONG while working for the Mouse. Let’s talk about it!

The Disney College Program offers a unique internship experience for college students and recent graduates. Program participants are placed in roles across many different areas, from quick service dining to character performing. For over 40 years, the College Program has helped launch the careers of numerous leaders within Disney and beyond.
Working at Disney World is an unforgettable experience filled with MANY highs. However, like with any job, you can experience some lows and regrets.

For college students, making magic while gaining professional experience is most often done through the Disney College Program (DCP) — a competitive internship experience that allows college students and recent graduates to work at Disney World while getting class credits and gaining professional experience through networking opportunities, special events, and access to Disney leadership. Now, Disney has announced that DCP participants will be getting pay raises!
