Disney World rides can’t run forever, unfortunately. Sometimes, they need a little TLC, or their time has run out.
Disney does their best to tell us about these scheduled closures ahead of time so you can plan your trips around them if it’s a ride you really want to experience. Here are all the attraction closures you’ll want to watch out for in 2024 if you’re planning a trip!
There are several temporary CLOSURES in Disney World right now, including a couple of rides in Magic Kingdom and a few restaurants across the resort. But here’s the good news: One of those closures is ENDING soon!

A Magic Kingdom attraction is reopening next week after its brief temporary closure. Let’s take a look at that reopening and what will still be CLOSED from August 27th through September 3rd so that you’re prepared for your next trip.
Several attractions and restaurants are closed in Disney World, but for most of them, we know approximately when they’ll reopen. For example, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (formerly Splash Mountain) will be open in late 2024. However, there are three attractions that are closed right now with NO opening date or even approximate timeframe announced!
