In case you haven’t heard 😉 , opening dates have been announced for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland (May 31, 2019) AND in Disney World’s Hollywood Studios (August 29, 2019). So… how do such high levels of anticipation (to put it mildly) affect the logistics of opening?
Let’s talk about it…
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will open in TWO phases in Disneyland
. The first — beginning, of course, on May 31st — will welcome guests to the Planet Batuu to experience elements of the land including one of the two attractions — Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.
The second phase, to take place “late this year,” will see the opening of the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance attraction. Walt Disney World offers lots of options for truly unique dining, and at 50s Prime Time Café, diners are in for a one-of-a-kind meal with ‘family’.
That’s because Prime Time Cafe is built around the classic 1950s home, with family recipes coming from the kitchen and kitschy decor everywhere.
Speaking of the classic 1950s home — something to note about this restaurant is that the waitstaff are encouraged to interact with the guests as though they’re family. This means that you can be sent to the corner or be told to sing I’m a Little Teapot in front of the whole restaurant if you put your elbows on the table or don’t finish your vegetables. It’s always fun to see Uncle Bruce singing I’m a Little Teapot, don’t get me wrong — but if that kind of interaction isn’t on the menu for YOU, you can always ask your server to tone down the antics with your table.
If you’re in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you’ll want to be on the lookout “for an eye-popping offer” on your food purchase receipts.
Today we are seeing Mike Wazowski himself on a sign at select Counter Service locations such as Catalina Eddie’s. [Read more…]
