We love ourselves a good Disney World hotel deal!
This summer, the Swan & Dolphin Resorts are offering some NEW discounts for Disney World Annual Passholders and Florida residents.Â
There are so many restaurants around Disney World that it can be a challenge to decide where to eat.
While some restaurants are so iconic they can be tough to get reservations for, there are gems hidden around Disney World that you might not even realize are worth checking out. The Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort is home to some of our favorite dining experiences, from the Food and Wine Classic to restaurants like Todd English’s bluezoo and Rosa Mexicano, but you have to leave the parks to try them. Just outside of EPCOT — inside the Dolphin — The Fountain is an unassuming spot with classic American fare like milkshakes and burgers. We stopped by for lunch recently to check it out — keep reading for our full review!
A brand NEW restaurant has arrived in Disney World!
Quite a few new restaurants are actually headed to Disney World in 2023, including Summer House on the Lake at Disney Springs and The Cake Bake Shop on Disney’s BoardWalk. But you don’t have to wait to try this next spot because it is open now! It’s not the cheapest though, so let’s dive into whether it’ll be worth YOUR money.
There are a lot of BIG hotel changes happening in Disney World — but it seems there might be another one to come.
We’re following along with construction on the new villas coming to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, the entirely new Disney Vacation Club section coming to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and the news about changes coming to Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Resort! Now, though, a new permit hints at a coming expansion at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel!
You’ve got $100 or maybe even $150 to spend on a meal anywhere in Disney World — where do you go? You’ve got a LOT of choices. Maybe you use the money to fill up on all the quick service chicken tenders and fries your stomach can handle (no judgment here!) or you opt for a signature dining experience and go BIG. Either way, you’d want your meal to be seriously awesome if you’re dropping that kind of cash on it, right?
Disney World’s Resort hotels are filled with excellent dining options that often rival (or even exceed) the food you’ll find in the theme parks! And while the Disney owned- and operated- resort hotels have no shortage of dining options, recently we actually made our way over to the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resorts, located right in between EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Over at the Dolphin, you’ll find Shula’s Steak House, a signature dining spot that’ll cost you a pretty penny. But is the food and experience worth the cost?
Hey, you! Yeah, you! We’re stopping by a SECRET bar in Disney World for lunch, and you’re gonna want to join us.
Okay, okay, maybe it’s not so secret — but it’s certainly not mainstream! We’re swinging over to the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel to pay a visit to Cabana Bar and Beach Club, a surprisingly swanky and relaxing spot.
One huge perk has been missing for guests staying at Disney World resorts.
Swan and Dolphin
That perk is Extra Magic Hours, which allows Disney World resort guests to get extra time in the parks, both in the mornings and evenings. However, Disney recently announced that a NEWÂ offering will replace Extra Magic Hours. This would allow select resort guests to get early theme park entry, while others can get extended evening hours. We’ve already seen a list of which hotels qualify for early entry and which hotels qualify for extended hours, but we now have two more hotels to add to that list.
Ever since Disney World reopened last summer, Mobile Ordering at restaurants and bars has become a HUGE focus in the parks and at the resorts. It’s basically most guests’ only option to order fast food at most locations! But let’s just say the process hasn’t always been the smoothest… .
In exciting Mobile Order news, though, we discovered that a Disney World area resort is TOTALLY raising the bar on the process, and we’re crossing our fingers that other Disney restaurants take note!Â
You’d be hard-pressed to find a Disney food and wine event that we’d turn down.
And no, we’re not talking about the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival, either. We’re actually talking about a nearby event at The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin! These hotels hosted several specialty food and beverage events recently and we were invited to stop by to review one!
There are lots of delicious treats to sample on at the various EPCOT festivals. But, just a hop away from the park, you can experience a totally different, intimate and luxurious food and wine experience.
Disney’s Dolphin Resort
The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel’s Food and Wine Classic is a fan-favorite event where foodies can truly live their best lives. This year, the Swan and Dolphin have brought back this fun event in a modified way to help guests maintain social distancing. We got the chance to experience it recently and now we’re bringing you ALL our thoughts!
