We love the nighttime shows we get to watch in Disney World — Happily Ever After in Magic Kingdom, Luminous in EPCOT, and Fantasmic! in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, just to name a few. Now Disney just gave us a sneak peek at a new nighttime spectacular that’s arrived at one of their international parks!

We’re happy to tell you, this is REAL. Soon, you’ll be able to experience a concert film in ways that you never have before. Recently, we’ve been seeing an uptick in popular music artists filming their concerts and releasing them in theaters, or on streaming services for everyone to enjoy. We’ve seen this with Taylor Swift’s Era’s Tour, Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour, and a myriad of other popular concerts that have taken place. Poor box office results led to Disney ceding its crown as Universal Studios became the top-grossing production company for 2023, and Disney+ has yet to become profitable (though CEO Bob Iger is still confident that it will be by the end of 2024.) Streaming is a top priority for Iger, so perhaps that’s why this showrunner was fired before his show even officially premiered.
Kenneth Mitchell, an actor known for his roles in Star Trek: Discovery and Captain Marvel, has passed away.

Mitchell played several characters on Star Trek: Discovery but was also known for his roles as Eric Green in Jericho and Joseph Danvers in Captain Marvel. The actor’s family stated that he died from complications of ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. He was 49.
