We attended D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in 2026, and we got a lot of big news. During one session, we learned all about the upcoming films being released by Disney and its studios…including Coco 2!
We’re at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, and we’re coming to you LIVE from the Disney Entertainment Panel, where we’re learning all about new movies and tv shows that Disney has in the works.

Well, we just got a pretty big surprise. The panel started with a first (albeit rough) look at the new Simpsons movie, which will be landing in theaters in September, 2027!
We might be knee-deep in Halloween stuff in Disney World right now, what with all the Halloween food and drinks, decor, and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, but OF COURSE, it’s also time to start looking ahead to the holiday season.

Now, the holidays in Disney World are VERY special, so much so that last year, The Hallmark Channel announced that a Hallmark Christmas movie SET in Disney World was in the works. Well, that Hallmark Disney World Christmas movie is completed, and now, we know when it will premiere.
There has been a TON of Marvel talk as of late! Spider-Man: Brand New Day just released in theatres, having the second biggest opening weekend of ALL TIME, and fans are getting ready for Avengers: Doomsday to release at the end of the year. On top of that, Marvel announced two NEW projects that are on the horizon at San Diego Comic Con.

However, there’s one other project that has been talked about a lot amongst fans as of late, and it’s a project that we won’t be seeing. Seven years ago, in July of 2019, Marvel announced that a Blade movie starring Mahershala Ali would be coming. That movie has been completely scrapped, and fans AND Mahershala Ali have responded!
Although Marvel has been struggling a bit with some of its most recent films, including ones that never got made, it was pretty much a no-brainer that its next Spider-Man movie would probably do well at the box office, as the Tom Holland-starring Spider-Man moves have always been a hit for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and Sony.

However, Marvel and Sony might not have been able to predict just how well Spider-Man: Brand New Day would do last week when it opened in theaters. Well, according to Variety, that film has crushed box office records for its opening day and opening weekend.
Is Disney done with this popular Christmas franchise, or are they thirsty for more?
