Between major ride closures, brand-new experiences, and even permanent overhauls, it feels like the park is rewriting its playbook in real time. And if you’re planning a trip soon, you definitely don’t want to walk in unprepared. That’s why we’re breaking down the new “rules” you need to know to avoid confusion, disappointment, or just wasting time on things that aren’t even open anymore. Let’s get into it.

Let’s go to Disney World
Of course, there are a few rules you’ll need to follow if you’re heading to Disney World. With everything from dress codes to specifics on what you can have in your park bag, you’ll want to behave if you want to avoid the consequences. We go to Magic Kingdom multiple times a week, and there are two rules we see constantly broken in that park!
While no one wants to cancel a Walt Disney World trip, unfortunately, sometimes life gets in the way and forces a change of plans.

In recent weeks, a trend has been popping up online showing guests jumping into Disney World fountains. Some are splashing around. Some are posing for “epic” shots. Others are even treating the fountains like their own personal swimming pools. But before you start planning your own stunt for the ‘gram, there’s something you should know — this could actually be against the law, and it’s definitely not something Disney is okay with.
EPCOT’s World Showcase is renowned for its dining, with the park offering culinary options from all around the world. However, a strict rule at the France Pavilion’s signature restaurant may ruin your dinner if you’re not aware of it.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in the France Pavilion
Monsieur Paul, named for the renowned French Chef Paul Bocuse — a culinary legend who was named Best French Craftsman in 1961 and Chef of the Century in 2011 by the Culinary Institute of America, and achieved 3 Michelin stars for 53 straight years at his famous Lyon restaurant — is located above Les Chefs de France, the French Brasserie in the France Pavilion. The restaurant, which was the first to be associated with Bocuse and is currently owned by the chef’s son, is one of EPCOT’s most in-demand eateries.
Disney theme parks all over the world, just like all other theme parks, have rules that are very important to follow to keep everyone safe.

You know what a lot of these are off the top of your head — no running, no fighting, no wearing Disney costumes if you’re over the age of 14 (unless it’s a Halloween party event), among others. However, there are some truly STRANGE rules we’ve seen as well, many of them that lots of guests don’t know about. We recently headed over to Hong Kong Disneyland for the park’s 20th Anniversary celebration, and something that I often do in the U.S. parks without a second thought is ILLEGAL!

You’ll want to choose shoes that are broken in already and an outfit that goes well with the weather (which is most often hot and swampy). If you’re adding accessories, there are plenty of fun options from Mickey ears to Loungefly bags. But today, we’re going beyond those basic rules and sharing some outfit planning notes you may not think about.

I’ve been writing about Disney parks for half a decade, and during that time I’ve seen numerous changes come to Disney’s premier Halloween event. This year is no exception, leading to some new unofficial “rules” that will be key to having a hauntingly good time at this year’s Halloween bash.
There are a lot of rules at Disney World. Some are official guidelines passed down by Disney themselves, while others are more “unofficial” expressions of theme park etiquette. Both types of “rules” extend to the kinds of images you see guests sharing on social media.

Turns out that some of these Disney World trends often seen on social media are specifically against the rules, and could lead to big trouble for those who try and mimic them!
We are getting closer to the start of the Halloween season in Orlando! Disney World kicks off its Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on August 15th, and Universal Orlando isn’t far behind them with the start of Halloween Horror Nights on August 29th.

Keep in mind that these two events are VERY different from each other. Disney World’s Halloween Party is family friendly and NOT scary. On the other hand, Halloween Horror Nights is heavy on the horror and not recommended for children under 13 years old. Let’s take a look at the rules that are enforced at Halloween Horror Nights!
