Agave Straws Debut at La Cava del Tequila in Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion

There’s been a lot of talk about straws as of late, as Disney continues efforts towards reducing single-use plastics in the company’s destinations around the globe. Plastic straws have been replaced with paper straws in several restaurants and snack kiosks in both Walt Disney World and Disneyland.

But La Cava del Tequila in Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion has debuted a non-plastic straw that — at this time — is unique to the location, as far as Disney World restaurants go.

Update: Paper Straws Replacing Plastic Straws at More Locations in Disneyland!

Each time we visit Disneyland we see more signs of the resort moving towards the elimination of single-use plastic straws. Last week we saw the first paper straws in Disneyland Park at Hungry Bear Restaurant.

This week we found paper straws at many more of Disneyland’s counter service locations, including Stage Door Cafe, Rancho Del Zocalo, and Galactic Grill. Just a few weeks ago two of these locations were still using plastic straws and lids.

Reusable Bags Arrive at Disney World’s Animal Kingdom

We have been spotting park-specific reusable bags at both Disneyland Resort and in Disney World. Yesterday, we shared a look at the new reusable bags in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and today — thanks to DFB Instagram friend @JasonD30 — we are checking out the new bag design for Disney World’s Animal Kingdom.
