It’s time for more 2011 Epcot Food and Wine Festival booth food pictures! Let’s head over to two extremely popular booths: Italy and Greece!
As always, if you want to see full coverage of each booth, check out our Epcot Food and Wine Festival Booth Pages! Click on any booth or country name for detailed information, menus, photos, and prices.
Italy
Italy introduced a new item this year that was just wonderful — the Cappellini con Gamberi Piccanti, or, pasta with spicy shrimp and garlic! It was gorgeous!
I loved the angel hair pasta, which caught the sauce beautifully. The spicy shrimp gave some great flavor to the dish as well.
The ravioli this year is very similar to last year (they’re just using the Italian name this year ;-D). Delicious — the perfect comfort food!

Ravioli Di Formaggio All’Emiliana (Baked Cheese Ravioli with Creamy Beef Bolognese Sauce, Parmesan Cheese, Melted Mozzarella) -– $4.50
Of course, how can you go wrong with a real Italian cannoli?! This one is just the right amount of sweet, cream, and chocolate. We loved it.

Cannolo Al Cioccolato (Chocolate Covered Cannoli Shell Filled with Sweet Ricotta Cheese, Chocolate, and Candied Fruit) -- $3.50
And the Primavera Fruit Smoothie is back again this year, but I was trying it for the first time. This one really grew on me! It’s fruity and refreshing — a good antidote to the hot Florida sun.
You can see more pictures, the full menu, and prices on our Italy Booth Page!
Greece
Greece is always a winner at the Festival, and there’s always a line! Interestingly, the powers that be situate Greece right across from Canada, so you’re pretty much always surrounded by extensive lines in that general area.
The Griddled Greek Cheese with Pistachios and Honey is a true winner this year. Trust me, it’s worth waiting for! A rich, strong cheese, grilled up and slathered in sweet honey and crunchy pistachios — I can’t tell if it’s a dessert or not, but it sure tastes like one! So many flavors and textures in one!
The Souvlaki with Tzatziki returns and continues to be a fan favorite this year!
And the Dannon Greek Yogurt Parfait with Strawberries is new on the menu this year. We weren’t really anticipating this one, and we were right in our estimation that it was going to be somewhat pedestrian. I really didn’t understand the addition of the hay-like crunchy stuff that sticks out of the yogurt.
I think I’d probably just buy two griddled cheeses instead of get this again, but if you’re a big greek yogurt fan, you might really enjoy it!
This year, the Greek Salad with Pita Bread reminds us a lot of last year’s Salad, so if you liked it last year, you’ll probably enjoy it this year!
You can see more pictures, the full menu, and prices on our Greece Booth Page!

These look phenomenal! With the Greek yogurt, was it phyllo dough shreds? That’s a common part of many Greek desserts so it’s possible, though a little odd to just stick on top for garnish.
OMG!! That baked ravioli looks TO DIE FOR!!!! What do you eat the Griddled Greek cheese with? Put in on bread or just eat a hunk of cheese by itself? Not that that’s a bad thing in my book, just curious!
the cheese looks yum.. and if thats a big chunk of garlic on the shimp.. then i am missing some good eats…
I would die to be at the Greek booth…that cheese looks simply amaze!
The griddled cheese was one of our favorite bites this year at the booths. Was it halloumi? The people at the Greece booth were helpful up to a point so all I got was that it was Greek and sheep’s milk.
I have the ravioli and griddle Greek cheese on my list of foods to try.
I had the ravioli twice when I was their a few weeks back- absolutely loved it! Does anyone know which restaurant might be making these? I’d love to go the restaurant that made them!
The griddled Greek cheese was my favorite! Now I want some more…;)
I always love your coverage, AJ, in part because the things that strike you are the same things I react to!
@Julie – I asked about the garnish on the yogurt. Yes, it’s shredded phyllo dough. I didn’t think it added anything to this dish.
@Chris – I also asked about the cheese and got a look at the booth’s binder. (Promising to do that for every booth next year!) Assuming they’re sticking to what’s in the binder, Greece is using Kefalograviera.
Just for that I will have the shrimp this weekend. I usually don’t mess with Italy, nothing unusual about their offerings in the past.
I will pass on the yogurt with shredded wheat though.
Ridiculously long lines for over priced food. Waste of time and money.
Everything looks so good. I am devastated that I can’t make it this year.
The Greek cheese is beyond good! By far my favorite thing so far! It was actually the first thing I got this year and I was swooning from the first bite. Going back on Thursday and I’ll easily get two more of these (if not more ;-D ).
Normally all I get at Italy is the Primavera (yummy and so refreshing when it’s hot at Disney) but the spicy shrimp looks really good. Especially with that nice slice of garlic showing. 🙂
We loved the Greek cheese last week, it was one of my favorites!
The yogurt was actually perfect for us as we had our 3 year old daughter along and there wasn’t a ton of kid friendly fare on the menus so she gobbled this right up.
It all looks so good. You had me at the spicy shrimp!
If you go, make sure you visit on a weekday. Do NOT go during the weekend or you will have long waits in line – some as long as 30 minutes.
Note: these are extremely small servings – smaller than most tapas style servings. Certainly not worth waiting in line for 20+ minutes.
Is the Fruit Smoothie in Italy non-alcoholic? It looks delish!
Shauna, the fruit drink is definitely non-alcoholic which is partly why I go for it every year. 🙂 Hard to do F&W when you’re allergic to alcohol and can’t drink. LOL.
Thanks Cherry! I don’t drink alcohol (a personal choice) so I will partaking the Food part of the F&W. I’m glad that there is at least one special non-alcoholic drink!
For the past several years my wife and I have headed straight for the Greek booth for the salad and pita bread for our first tasting on opening weekend. It had become a ritual. This year, as usual, we did the same. What a disappointment! There was not enough salad on our TWO plates to feed a baby bird. On our more recent visits to the Festival we have skipped Greece. How sad.
