Play Disney Parks App Debuts in Disney World and Disneyland Resort SOON!

You know what’s happening this Saturday, June 30th? Okay, you guessed! TOY STORY LAND is opening!!

But here’s another one for ya… do you know what ELSE is happening this Saturday? The Play Disney Parks app makes its debut in both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort!

You can pre-order the app now (it’s free to download) and get ready to play the next time you’re in the parks, as it will automatically download on your device upon release.

So, what fun awaits in this new app? Waiting in line for attractions will gives guests the chance to interact with all-new app-related experiences in select queues including “Playset Party” for Toy Story Mania, “Off to Neverland” for Peter Pan’s Flight, “Rocket Race” in Space Mountain, and — specifically in Hollywood Studios — “Andy’s Boardgame Blast” at Slinky Dog Dash!

Additionally, you can earn, collect and share unique achievements, be rewarded for playing games, answering trivia questions, experiencing select attractions, and completing challenges! (These features are available to guests 13 and over when signed into their account.)

Apple device users will also be able to access Apple Music* from within the app to enjoy playlists inspired by theme park lands, characters, and attractions! Subscribers will even be able to download certain tracks to their own music library. (*Note that some of these features will require an Apple Music subscription and are only available on iOS devices.)

And, yes, as the app evolves and expands, there will be in-app experiences dedicated to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!

Disney advises that message, data, and roaming charges may apply, and guests under 18 years old should get their parents permission first.
