One of the biggest draws of EPCOT is its colorful World Showcase, where guests can travel around the world in a day!
But some big changes are happening over at the Morocco Pavilion: Disney will take over operations of the pavilion from its current operating participants. And this is set to happen by the end of the year.
Today, we noticed that much of the Morocco Pavilion has been shut down in anticipation of this big change. Certain parts of the pavilion are blocked off by planters.
Gifts of Morocco has temporarily closed its doors.
The Art of Henna, where guests can get henna tattoos, is also closed.
Tangierine Cafe remains closed, after temporarily shutting down in August.
However, some parts of the pavilion are open, including Race Against the Sun and Kidcot.
Morocco Coffee & Pastries is also open. However, the menu is limited to bottled drinks, frozen daiquiris, and mint tea.
These closures are likely temporary, though, and Disney is making plans before the pavilion’s reopening. Although Disney is assuming all operational control over all food and beverage and merchandise locations, The Moroccan Embassy and Morocco Tourism Board are still involved with the pavilion.
Spice Road Table halted all dining reservations as of today, so we expect it to reopen later with the rest of the pavilion. We’ll be sure to keep you updated!

I hope they don’t mess up or change anything food wise. We love the food options in Morocco! Restaurant Marrakesh and the Tangierine Cafe are both terrific.
We last visited in August. As per our long standing tradition, we zip to EPCOT on arrival day and enjoy a Tangerine Cafe veggie platter.
We are anxious for its return. Our next trip is scheduled for March.
Our family tries to dine in the Morocco pavilion each time we visit Disney World, love the food, the ambiance, the service , and the entertainment! We hope it will be open when we visit in early March 2021!
I agree w Eric…hope they don’t screw this up. Morocco was one of my favorite Pavilions & my wife & I would always enjoy dinner in Marrakesh on any of our dozens of trips…the food was unique & delicious with ( for EPCT) moderately priced cuisine! Plus the live entertainment just wonderful!
Scary times ahead. The Moroccan food is astounding, the entertainment is different to us westerner but very interesting. One can only hope that Disney does not screw it up. Their re-imagining track record has not been the greatest over the years.
We were very disappointed that the Morocco pavilion was empty the last time we went to WDW (February 2021). Even with a lot of things close due to COVID, Morocco was more empty than anywhere else.
It is one of our favorite places to eat and visit in Epcot.
I hope Disney keeps it as a country and doesn’t change it to a Disney movie.
We loved the restaurant food and show.
Was there Oct 30 still everything closed
