The Cinderella Castle construction continues.
We’ve been following the progress around the castle closely. Last week, the stage was covered in scrim while bushes hid the work from guests. Just a few days ago, that stage was stripped down to plywood! And let’s not forget that the moat surrounding the castle is now totally drained.
This mystery construction is just that — a mystery. But this latest development proves that whatever the work is, it could be MAJOR. In Magic Kingdom today, we spotted construction equipment in the dried-up moat!
We saw 6 vehicles — 3 on each side of the castle. They weren’t currently being operated.

There’s also small pillars on the left side.
On the scrim covering the railing, signs apologize for the construction, asking guests to “Please Pardon Our Pixie Dust.”
Even though we’re not sure what this construction is for, it looks like it’ll be here for a while! Disney World’s 50th anniversary is coming up in October, and Cinderella Castle is getting a mini-transformation for the occasion. Could this be the beginning of those preparations? We’ll keep an eye on it and keep you posted! Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news.
