We’ve been tryin’ ALL the green eats and treats in Disney World lately!
From cupcakes to ice cream sammies to peppermint drinks, we’ve been ringing in St. Patrick’s Day with LOTS of feasting. And while we’re pretty sure this new Animal Kingdom drink isn’t an official St. Paddy’s Day item, it’s green…so we’re gonna count it! Let’s get sippin’.
We found the Loggerhead Turtle at Flame Tree Barbecue on Discovery Island! It’s Sprite, but that green color comes from Granny Smith apple syrup. There’s also a sugar lime rim and a single (yup, a SINGLE) gummy worm. That lonely ol’ gummy worm reminds us a lot of the Oogie Worm we found at AbracadaBar around Halloween.
Pro tip: the sugar rim can get messy! So as soon as the sugar ends up on the glow cube, use a spoon to scoop the cube out of the cup. Or, if you don’t want the glow cube at all, you can order without!
At the end of the day, this drink is just a fancy Sprite. But it tasted refreshing, and if you love apple and gummy worms, you may wanna give this a try! Kids in particular may love this fun sip. It’s also a great option for adults looking for a mocktail.
