We’re experiencing a HOT summer in Disney World!
And if you’ll be in the parks, you’ll want to prepare for crowds and pack plenty of sunscreen. But one of our top tips for staying safe in the summer is to make sure you stay hydrated. Disney offers FREE cups of water in the parks, and we’re here today with an updated guide on where to find ’em!
Magic Kingdom
There are a few outdoor carts where you’ll be able to snag that water: at Joffrey’s kiosks as well as the popcorn carts on the Hub (the area around Cinderella Castle). Just keep in mind that other popcorn carts around the park do not have free ice water — they only sell it bottled.
You can also ask for a cup at Main Street Bakery (that’s the Magic Kingdom Starbucks location), but keep in mind that you can’t get a venti water for free at this location — just a red cup. (Currently, this only applies to the Starbucks in Magic Kingdom due to the greater number of guests that request water.) You can also get water at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments, Westward Ho Refreshments, and Sunshine Tree Terrace.

Our Water Cup at Main Street Bakery
Lastly, in Fantasyland or Tomorrowland, swing by Storybook Treats, Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies, Friars Nook, or The Lunching Pad!
And as we mentioned, remember that you can always ask for free cups of water to go with your Mobile Order.
EPCOT
At EPCOT, you can hydrate at any Joffrey’s location, Connections Café (again, the park’s Starbucks location), or the fruit cart by the Land Pavilion.
Over in the World Showcase, head to Refreshment Outpost, Yorkshire County Fish Shop, Fife and Drum Tavern, Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie, Sommerfest, Kringla Bakeri og Kafe, or La Cantina de San Angel.
Just note that you cannot find free water at any of the Festival booths around the park — they only sell bottles of Dasani water.
Hollywood Studios
On to Disney’s Hollywood Studios! First of all, you’ll be able to find trays at the front of 2 Quick Service restaurants: PizzeRizzo and Backlot Express. Just pop inside and grab your cup of water! We’ve also seen them out sometimes at ABC Commissary, but not consistently.
Elsewhere, you can get water at the parks’ Joffrey’s locations and The Trolley Car Café (the park’s Starbucks; note that this location currently only hands out grande cups of water, not venti), as well as KRNR The Rock Station, The Market, Woody’s Lunch Box, and Epic Eats.

Starbucks Grande Water
Recently, we also noticed that Backlot Express has started offering a self-serve water station outside the restaurant, instead of those trays inside.
We’ll be sure to let you know if we see these popping up anywhere else around the parks.
Make sure to take full advantage of these offerings and stay hydrated!
Animal Kingdom
Lastly, we’re stopping by Disney’s Animal Kingdom. As with all the other parks, you’ll be able to get free cups of water at all Joffrey’s kiosks and the park’s Starbucks (in this case, Creature Comforts).
Otherwise, you can grab a quick sip at Terra Treats, Tamu Tamu Refreshments, Mr. Kamal’s, Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe, Anandapur Ice Cream Truck, Trek Snacks, Dino-Bite Snacks, Trilo-Bites, Isle of Java, or The Feeding Ground.
Notably, Pandora doesn’t offer any free cups of water except at Satu’li Canteen. Instead, you’ll find multiple water bottle refill stations scattered throughout the land.
Our top tip for getting the most out of these free cups of water is to bring your own reusable water bottle. You can empty the cups into your bottle and tote ’em around with you all day long! Then, when your bottle is empty, stop by one of these locations to refill it. These cups of ice water are often cooler and taste WAY fresher than what you’d get out of a water fountain.
We’ll keep bringing you more Disney tips and tricks, so stay tuned to DFB!

Shhh! Don't tell anyone about this hidden lounge in Disney World!
We visited Disney World just 2 weeks ago and I was never able to get a free cup of ice water.
After waiting 1.5 hours for a Margarita in Mexico (watching the cast members stand around with no supervision) I asked for water and they said they had none.
How can you run a bar with no water?
I must have asked at 4 different places where we bought food and drinks and was refused water every time.
You left out a great option in the parks: Starbucks! Free grande icr water.
On my last trip to WDW, way back in 2017, we had a dinner reservation at Crystal Palace for late–around 8 pm. I finally dragged myself there–my feet were killing me–around 6 pm and asked if I could just sit on the porch. I also asked if there was ANY WAY they could change our reservation, as we were all there and ready to eat RIGHT THAT MINUTE.
They said they’d try and suggested we get cups of ice water (free!), which they had stationed on the porch. We drank plenty of delicious, cool water, and bonus–they had a table for us within 15 minutes!!
So they’re not offering free water at Crystal Palace anymore? I’ll be so sad if they’re not!
What do you expect? A $1400.00 a night room, $5.00+ rice crispy treats, you really don’t think they are going to “give” you “free water” as well! Disney will go belly up. Disney makes it sound like they are doing everyone a favor. What a joke Disney has become.
Thanks we have been filling our bottles at meals. Great to have info.
This is a wonderful resource!! Thank you! Can you create a park map of locations with free water (those not requiring a mobile order)?
Emily, I shared this request with the team!
