OK y’all — this is pretty big news.
Remember how Boma is reopening soon at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge? Well, the delicious zebra domes and signature carved meats aren’t all that this restaurant is bringing back to Disney World! BUFFETS (well, at least THIS one!) are BACK!
Boma was a buffet-style restaurant prior to closing for the pandemic. Although many restaurants that were buffets have been converted into family-style dining, Boma is going to open as the first buffet back at Disney World!
Scott Gustin (@ScottGustin) tweeted today that Boma would return as a buffet. We’ve heard rumors of the returning buffet from several sources, but we got confirmation from a Disney World cast member that Boma will be brining back the buffet to both breakfast and dinner!
Boma will be offering its breakfast buffet with creamy pap, turkey bobotie, pancakes, waffles, deviled eggs with salmon, and freshly baked items from the bakery.
For dinner, the Rotisserie Area will offer pork ribs, salmon, African-spiced strip loin, Durban rotisserie chicken, and lamb bobotie. You’ll find pasta and meatballs, mac n’ cheese, and chicken bites at the Kid’s Cooking Pod. We’ll also get to see the rotating selection of soups, chowders, and stews again, along with salads like Berbere chickpea salad and North African cauliflower salad.
We’re looking forward to dessert most of all, with the delicious Zebra Domes and plenty of other sweet treats.
As a reminder, Boma is reopening this Friday, August 20th, with reservations opening on the 18th (this Wednesday)!
I mean, we’re not going to say no to the all-you-care-to-eat buffet dining! Disneyland has seen a few buffets return since reopening but this marks the first buffet for Disney World! Could this mean that more buffets will be back at Disney soon? Keep following DFB and we’ll let you know what we hear!
