In case it wasn’t clear from our name, Disney food is kind of our thing. 😉 We go to the Disney World parks every day, and we’ve tried just about everything you can find there — breakfast, lunch, dinner, and all the snacks in between. So when we tell you that we know the BEST new snacks, we’re not messing around!
If you haven’t been to Disney World in a little while, you may not know about some of our favorite new treats. Don’t worry — we’ve narrowed it down to 5 treats that you NEED to try the next time you visit the parks!
Some of the treats on our list will only be around for a few more months, but a few of them are new staples in the Disney World parks. Let’s get right into it!
Tropical Serenade Dole Whip
Aloha Isle Refreshments in Magic Kingdom is the home of several different kinds of Dole Whips. You can get pineapple, raspberry swirl, vanilla, or coconut flavors in various swirls or floats.
But the combination that tops them all (in our humble opinion) is the Tropical Serenade, which is made of the famous POG juice (passion fruit, orange, and guava juice) with coconut soft serve, topped with a pineapple upside-down cake pop. It’s available for $6.99.
We already loved coconut soft serve from this spot (dare we say it’s even better than the classic pineapple Dole Whip??), so add in the delicious POG juice and we’re 100% sold. It’s creamy, tangy, and everything we need to feel refreshed on a hot Orlando day.
Whether you’re already a huge Dole Whip fan or you’re just now learning that they exist at all, you absolutely have to check out this creation in Magic Kingdom! It arrived for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary back in October 2021, and we’re assuming it’ll stick around at least until that celebration ends in the spring of 2023. So you still have a few more months to try it if you haven’t already.

50th Anniversary Spring Rolls
Once you grab your Tropical Serenade, the next must-try snack isn’t far away. Located at the Spring Roll Wagon in front of the Adventureland entrance (the one coming from Main Street, U.S.A.) is the 50th Celebration Spring Rolls.
These new spring rolls join the popular Cheeseburger Spring Rolls on the menu at this snack spot. The 50th Celebration Spring Rolls have Pastrami and Pepper Jack Cheese inside, and they’re served with a Mustard Dipping Sauce. These spring rolls are very meaty and salty, but if you’re a fan of strong flavors then we think you’ll love these!
The pastrami flavor definitely dominates, but that mustard dipping sauce actually balances it out very nicely. You can get 2 of these rolls, or mix it up and get 1 of these and 1 of the classic Cheeseburger Spring Rolls (which we love as well).
For a filling and unique snack in Disney World, this is a great option. You get 2 rolls for $9.50. You’ve probably already caught on that these arrived for the 50th Anniversary as well, so we’re expecting them to stick around at least until spring 2023.

Literally ANYTHING from Gideon’s Bakehouse
We’re LEAVING the parks for this next snack and heading to Disney Springs! Once you arrive, follow the indulgent scent of fresh-baked cookies to Gideon’s Bakehouse.
This bakery has a gothic theme with dim lighting and all kinds of spooky characters on the walls, but that’s not the only reason we love it so much. We knew it would become a fan favorite as soon as we bit into the first cookie we tried there. Seriously. It’s THAT good.
You can find nearly half-pound cookies here, but don’t sleep on the huge cake slices or flavored cold brew coffee, either! This spot has seasonal flavors that change each month, but they also have some staples that stick around all the time. And if you visit early in the morning or late at night, you might be able to find the Coffee Cake Cookie or Dark Coffee Cake Cookie as well. Most cookies cost $6, cake slices are $9, and cold brew coffee is $6.
Keep in mind that we’re not the only ones who know how incredible Gideon’s is! This bakery can be hopping if you arrive in the afternoon or early evening. Sometimes they’ll even use a virtual queue, so you’ll need to sign up for that queue and then return when you get a text telling you it’s your turn to go inside. Make sure to get there pretty early if you want to visit, or plan to spend a few hours in the Springs while you wait for your turn in the virtual queue.

Ice Cream from Salt & Straw
While you wait for your turn to visit Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs, you might as well hop over to Salt & Straw for a pre-dessert (yes, it’s a thing). This shop has some of the best ice cream you’ll ever have — just trust us.
Reading over the menu, you might be a little bit surprised by some of the flavors! Honey Lavender? Olive Oil? Strawberry Honey Balsamic with Black Pepper?? Yes, the combinations might sound a little bit strange, but most of them are actually *chef’s kiss* genius.
Like Gideon’s Bakehouse, Salt & Straw has some treats that change every month and others that remain on the menu all year long. Some of our favorite classic flavors (the ones that stick around) are Chocolate Gooey Brownie, Panther Coffee Chocolate Tres Leches, and Salted, Malted, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Single scoops cost $6.95, double scoops are $9.50, and a pint is $12.95.
But be sure to look at those seasonal flavors when you visit! That’s where you could find some truly startling options, like the deviled egg ice cream we had in June (we were shocked that Salt & Straw could even make egg-flavored ice cream taste delicious).

Adobo Yuca Fries
Now it’s off to EPCOT! You didn’t think we could make a list of the best snacks and NOT go to EPCOT, right? This park is known for having some of the best food in Disney World, and that’s especially true during any of the festivals that take place periodically.
Right now is the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, which lasts through November 19th. At this year’s festival, there’s a brand NEW booth called the Fry Basket, and (as you might guess) it’s serving all kinds of french fries. Although the Fry Flight might look like the more exciting option, do NOT sleep on the Adobo Yuca Fries at this spot.
The texture of these fries was incredible — perfectly crunchy! And the flavor — they basically tasted like Texas toast garlic bread in french fry form. The sauce on top added a tanginess that complemented the heavier flavor on the fries, and it just combined to create perfection.
You can get these fries for $5.50 from now until the festival ends. (Oh, and that Fry Flight isn’t too bad either. 😉)
