Get ready to dawn your best detective gear at Disneyland this fall — the pumpkins are coming BACK!

Halloween Time at Disneyland (2022)

The countdown to Disneyland’s Halloween glow-up is on, and we’re learning more details about special offerings that have just been announced. While you’re making plans to dance your night away with frightful friends at Oogie Boogie Bash, we’ve got one more event to tell you about that we think you should squeeze into your plans this spooky season! 

Get ready for the hunt because Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit is returning to Disneyland this fall! Disneyland announced the event’s return on Instagram. It will be back for a limited time this season. This seek-and-find, self-paced event is set to run only from September 8th, 2023, to November 1st, 2023. We’ve seen this event in past years at Disneyland, and most recently a version of this fun scavenger hunt popped up at EPCOT last year (it’s expected to return to Disney World this season as well).

Make sure you’ve carved out enough time on your next trip to stop by Downtown Disney to spot all thirteen character-themed pumpkins and claim one of this year’s PRIZES.

Disney gave us a peek at those prizes — they’re character pumpkin sippers that can be yours when you complete your search! There’s a Stitch sipper, a Pluto one, and ones themed to Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy.

We can’t wait to see where all thirteen of these character pumpkins will pop up around the Downtown Disney district and which characters were chosen for this year’s designs.

To join the Pumpkin Pursuit, you’ll pick up your map and stickers for $9.99 (plus tax) at one of these merchandise locations in Downtown Disney:

• Acorns Gifts & Goods (Located at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa)
• Disney Home
• Disney’s Fantasia Shop (Located at the Disneyland Hotel)
• Disney’s Pin Traders
• The Disney Dress Shop
• WonderGround Gallery
• World of Disney

You’ll search for hidden pumpkins, which are decorated to look like Disney characters! Place the corresponding stickers in the right spot on your map. Whether you finish the hunt or not, you can return your map for a prize! Pick up your prize at one of these locations:

• Disney’s Pin Traders
• World of Disney

You get one prize per map returned.
