Oogie Boogie Bash is underway!

The special ticketed event in Disney California Adventure is back on select nights from August 17th – October 31st, 2025. It’s hugely popular thanks to the rare characters, delectable snacks, and interactive trick-or-treat trails! Those treat trails are a huge reason the event sells out each year, so let’s check out where you can maximize your treats and see what villains will be pulling some tricks along the way.

We are here for the first night of the famous Oogie Boogie Bash! We’re checking out all the treats, diving into which characters are stopping by, and, of course, getting our trick-or-treat game faces on. If you’re like us, just grab your map and let’s check out everything you need to know about these trails.

Throughout the park, there are Immersive Treat Trails where you can find Cast Members handing out Treat Bags and so much candy! To get started, look for the Treat Trail entrance markers (the cauldrons) around the park and your guide map or the Disneyland app.

This year, there are 12 treat trails with Disney villains parked at each one for your delights or your frights. (Don’t worry, they’re fun frights.)

• Dr. Doofenshmirtz Treat Trail (Disney Theater – Hollywood Land)

• Oogie Boogie Treat Trail (Animation Academy – Hollywood Land)

• Hades Treat Trail (Hollywood Backlot Stage – Hollywood Land)

• Judge Doom Treat Trail (Hollywood Backlot – Hollywood Land)

• Ernesto De La Cruz Treat Trail (Hyperion Theater Courtyard – Hollywood Land)

• Agatha Harkness Treat Trail (Ancient Sanctum – Avengers Campus)

• Radiator Springs Racers Treat Trail (Cars Land)

• Yokai Treat Trail (San Fransokyo Maker’s Market – San Fansokyo Square)

• Syndrome Treat Trail (Near Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff – Pixar Pier)

• World of Color Treat Trail (Paradise Gardens)

• Maleficent Treat Trail (Grizzly Peak Trail)

This year, Syndrome from The Incredibles is making his Oogie Boogie Bash debut! We don’t know about you, but we think there’s a serious argument to be made that he is the most evil Disney villain of all.

Disney does give you a bag to collect all your candy in, but it’s pretty small, so we recommend bringing a larger bag with you if you really want to take advantage of all the candy!

Don’t forget to say trick or treat to each Cast Member as you go through each trail! Also, say thank you. It’s just polite. If you’re looking for more than just candy, you can also check out the Frightfully Fun Parade! The Parade can be seen two times per night, typically at 7:50PM and 10:05PM.

This parade is PACKED with rarely seen Disney characters, including the Headless Horseman, Lady Tremaine, The Ugly Stepsisters, The Red Queen, Captain Hook, Judge Frollo, Jafar, Ursula, and SO many more!

You can also check out Villains Grove! It can be found along the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail in the Grizzly Peak area of Disney California Adventure Park. The forest is transformed with themed decorations, lights, and sounds to fit each villain’s story as you travel through the spooky woods!
