7 Critical Dates for Disneyland Fans in 2026

2026 is in full swing, and with it are some pretty big Disneyland milestones and events!

Disneyland is in the middle of some pretty big expansion plans, as well as its 70th Anniversary Celebration. All of that is continuing in 2026, along with several events you should mark on your calendar if you plan to visit “The Happiest Place on Earth” before 2027!

While TONS of stuff is slated to happen at Disneyland in 2026, any diehard (or casual) Disney fans should be aware of these dates that could impact your next Disneyland vacation.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge CHANGES

BIG changes have come to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland! As of April 29th, 2026, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland park ushered in a story timeline that now spans Star Wars films and television across the decades to include characters and storylines from The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, The Mandalorian, and Ahsoka.

As such, guests may experience the Galactic Civil War, the New Republic, the Age of the Resistance, and the First Order all in one Disneyland day!

New Smugglers Run Experience

As of May 22nd, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run now feature characters from The Mandalorian!

Mando and Grogu are here!

New missions with the Mandalorian and Grogu have been added to the attraction in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in both Disney World and Disneyland!

New destinations have also been added, including Bespin, Tatooine, the ruins of the Death Star, Coruscant, Beggar’s Canyon, and more! Most importantly, for the first time ever, you and your crew get to CHOOSE the destination of your adventure! The responsibility falls to the Engineer in your party, who will select where you go.

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run

During your journey, you’ll team up with the likes of the Mandalorian, Grogu, and Hondo. The story involves Hondo Ohnaka discovering a deal on Tatooine between ex-Imperial officers and some pirates, and your job is to “borrow” the Millennium Falcon and track down a lucrative bounty…

Soarin’ Across America

Soarin’ Around the World in Disney California Adventure has become Soarin’ Across America in 2026! This brand new “airborne adventure” will take you across the United States, “highlighting some of the country’s natural beauty and iconic cityscapes.”

The limited-time “itinerary” is part of “Disney Celebrates America” in honor of the 250^th anniversary of the United States of America, and made its debut on July 2nd, 2026.

Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary End Date

Disneyland has concluded its epic 70th Anniversary celebration. The party continued through August 9th, 2026.

Don’t forget… Oogie Boogie Bash is an extra-ticket event held on select nights during Halloween Time at Disney California Adventure. On 33 select nights (more than ever before!) from August 18 – October 31, 2026, the one and only Oogie Boogie — along with some of his fellow Disney Villains — is once again hosting the Oogie Boogie Bash!
