We know EVERYONE is talking about (and singing) the music from Encanto lately, but we haven’t forgotten about some of those Frozen classics like “Let it Go” and “Lost in the Woods” quite yet. Sometimes, a power ballad is exactly what we need to hear on a Tuesday morning.
For all our music fans out there, we’re here to pass along a fun little announcement that might have you humming “Do You Want to Build a Snowman” for the rest of the day.
Our beloved friend Olaf is played by the hilarious (and talented!) Josh Gad. Recently, Gad posted an announcement on his Instagram account, and we’re already considering a trip to New York. Who’s with us?
In his post, Gad announced that he will be joining Kristen Bell (the voice of Anna), Santino Fontana (the voice of Hans), and the cast of Frozen the Musical for a Frozen reunion celebrating The New York Pops 39th Birthday. The event is set to honor the music of Kristen and Bobby Lopez, who composed the songs for both Frozen movies.
If you’re unfamiliar, The New York Pops is a large professional orchestra that specializes in popular music. According to The New York Pops website, the orchestra has worked with singers and celebrities like Angela Lansbury, Cyndi Lauper, and even Miss Piggy.
Tickets for this big 39th birthday celebration are on sale now, and the event is scheduled for April 25th at 7PM in Carnegie Hall, in New York City. In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more!
