The time we have all been waiting for has finally arrived!
After years — and we mean actual YEARS — of waiting, TRON Lightcycle / Run is finally opening in Disney World! The new coaster will open to guests on April 4th, 2023, and we’ve been keeping up with the latest progress and details. Now, we have more information on the virtual queue TRON Lightcycle / Run!
When TRON Lightcycle / Run opens in Disney World, there won’t be a standby line. Much like we’ve seen for other ride openings in recent years, a virtual queue will be used instead!
Full details for how this virtual queue will work and what times throughout the day boarding passes will become available have not yet been announced, but for other virtual queues we’ve seen in Disney World, guests have had two daily opportunities to secure a boarding group — at 7AM and 1PM.
We’ve also seen a third virtual queue opportunity for guests with Extended Evening Hours access, but we’ll find out at a later date if TRON Lightcycle / Run will qualify for this exclusive opportunity. Guests will need to download the My Disney Experience app in order to try for a spot in the virtual queue.
Not only that, be we also learned that TRON will be available for Individual Lightning Lane purchase through Disney Genie+ — which is a paid way to secure your spot on the ride.
Be sure to stay tuned to DFB for the latest TRON news and more! We’ll be in the park on the ride’s opening day bringing you everything you need to know.

I hate that. I liked when a ticket into the parks guaranteed you access to all the rides. You may have had to wait in a long line, but you still got to get on the attraction. It was up to you if you wanted to wait or move on. Now, it’s just as bad as the ‘tiers’ for the hotels now with the less expensive resorts (tho still outrageously priced) getting the shaft for a lot of perks.

Here’s my HUGE HUGE ISSUE !!!
Over the last couple of years Disney has become more more Digitally dependent, in this case you are required to download there App to have access for this ride in addition to all the food establishments converting to QR codes .
As Disney increases their prices and offering less . THEY SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE A STRONG RELIABLE WI-FI to support these features in there properties . By using digital assistants Disney is able to reduce their workforce, track what people are doing and several other trends and stats .

Hi Stephanie! TRON does not go upside down. It does turn to the side and has drops, however.
