Get out your calendars, it’s time to look at some of Disney’s most important upcoming dates.
The biggest date on the minds of Disney fans like me who’ve been visiting Disney World for decades revolves around Dinosaur, the opening day Animal Kingdom attraction that’ll be closing early next year to make way for the completion of the park’s new Tropical Americas. However, the day Dinosaur’s countdown to extinction ends isn’t the only one those planning to visit Disney World in the coming months need to mark on their calendar.
Disney Adults are saying arrivederci! to a popular EPCOT pavilion for now.
Over my 7 years of covering Disney’s theme parks, I’ve seen the popularity of EPCOT World Showcase pavilions ebb and flow. New snacks — or even new rides — will lead to a spike in popularity for a particular country for a while before crowds move on, while on the other side of the coin, a disappointing reveal or simple stagnation will leave some pavilions on the skip list. Currently, the park’s Italy Pavilion is facing that issue.
In recent years, the EPCOT International Gateway entrance has experienced a surge in usage, thanks to the introduction of the Skyliner, which has led many to discover and take advantage of this secondary entrance located near the World Showcase’s France Pavilion.
I’ve been visiting EPCOT for 30 years, and for the vast majority of that time, the International Gateway between the France and United Kingdom pavilions in World Showcase has been available to EPCOT guests. First opened in the early 1990s, the secondary entrance was initially meant for guests staying in the EPCOT Resort Area (Yacht & Beach Clubs, Swan & Dolphin, and later the Boardwalk) as well as the then MGM-Studios theme park, each of which is linked to the Gateway via walking paths and Friendship boats. As mentioned above, use of the entrance increased drastically with the opening of the Skyliner gondola system in 2019.

If you’re in the market for a new backpack, look no further!
Whether you’re looking to pick something up for a trip to Disney or the new school year, or just because you want one, these are some of the highest-rated and best-reviewed bags we found online.
Heads up, Rescuers Down Under fans, there’s a new merchandise collection available now!
One of the best things about the ever-growing collection of Disney Loungefy bags is the number of deep cuts. Sure, there are bags inspired by major characters like Mickey and the company’s biggest films, but there are also bags representing somewhat obscure corners of the company’s film and theme park libraries…which brings us to the NEW BoxLunch Rescuers collection.
Celebrity sightings at Disneyland are as old as the park itself. Disney entertainment is for EVERYONE — rich and famous stars included!
We heard of actors, musicians, athletes, political figures, and every major name in between visiting the “Happiest Place on Earth” since it opened 70 years ago. In just my seven years of covering the resort, I’ve seen dozens of celebrities post about their visit all over social media. Recently, Modern Family star and noted Disney parks fan Sarah Hyland once again added her name to the list. Spoiler alert: her ride photos do NOT disappoint.
Disney is finally making a long-awaited change, and we’re just a wee bit nervous.
At the 2025 D23 Ultimate Fan Event, Disney made a surprise announcement that major changes were coming to the iconic Carousel of Progress at the Magic Kingdom. A Walt Disney animatronic — similar to the one that debuted at Disneyland earlier this year — will now be part of the attraction’s pre-show, and the entire presentation will be updated, likely with a new finale.
It’s time to… drink the Muppets?
Not quite, but Muppet fans may still want to make their way over to Amazon, as a new collection of brushed steel, insulated mugs bearing the iconic characters just dropped!
