food IS a theme park
What are Disneyland’s average hotel prices? What resort perks have disappeared, and which ones have been added? Where are the BEST places to eat and take a dip in the pool?
Disneyland Hotels
And – the biggest question of them all – are Disneyland hotels ACTUALLY worth the stay? We’re telling you EVERYTHING you need to know about Disneyland’s hotels in JUST 15 MINUTES.
Every once in a while, the DFB team gets into a HOT debate. Most of the time, it’s about which Disney World ride is best, which park snack reigns supreme, or whether a turkey leg is an abomination or not.
Let’s eat some hot dogs!
Recently, a brand-new restaurant opened at Universal Orlando CityWalk, and we were lucky enough to get invited to preview the spot before Fat One’s Hot Dogs officially welcomed diners. That meant that we had to decide who exactly was going to go to the media event, and it caused quite the tiff with multiple coworkers fighting over who would receive the honor.
You’ve got a TON of options when it comes to dining at Disney World. Want something quick and easy? You’ve got it. Something middle of the road and comforting? Yep, that too. And if you’re looking for something upscale and luxurious, you can find that as well.
Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory
We recently stopped by Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory to check out a dessert we think you’ll want to know about. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Find out here!
It’s certainly no secret that Magic Kingdom is changing in a major way, with the upcoming additions of Villains Land and Piston Peak National Park.
Piston Peak National Park
While we might not know exactly when either new land will open just yet, Disney is already hard at work making them come to life. Construction is well underway, and we’ve been doing our best to keep an eye on it — even though it’s not easy to spot from the ground. Luckily, there are some new photos that give us a better look at how things are going. Let’s check them out!
Disney World is going through some serious changes right now, all over the parks and beyond.
Magic Kingdom
Hollywood Studios will soon be home to Monstropolis, while Pueblo Esperanza is under construction at Animal Kingdom. And, over at Magic Kingdom, construction has begun on not one, but two new lands: Piston Peak and Villains Land. That’s not the only construction recently spotted at Magic Kingdom, though, as a mystery building has suddenly popped up backstage.
Okay, we need to talk — because there’s a flash sale on Disney souvenirs happening on Amazon right now, and it is dangerously good. No park ticket, no standing in line at the Emporium, no fighting your way through the crowds on Main Street, U.S.A. Just pure, unbothered shopping from your couch (ideally in Mickey ears, for the vibes).
Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom
We’ve rounded up some of the deepest discounts we’ve found online, and you’re going to want to check them out. But here’s the thing about flash sales: they’re called “flash” for a reason, and the best items tend to vanish faster than a churro at the Magic Kingdom. So, grab your credit card, because you’re not going to want to miss these deals!
Listen, I’m not trying to be dramatic, but I think some Disney World chicken strips and fries would heal me right about now.
Chicken Tenders at Cosmic Ray’s
Okay, maybe that is a bit dramatic, but there’s just something about Disney’s chicken strips that scratches an itch for me. Maybe it’s nostalgia, maybe it’s the fact that everything tastes better when I’m at Disney World, or maybe it’s just the fact that I love me a good chicken strip. No matter the reason, sometimes I drive all the way to Disney World just for the chicken strips, and I’m not ashamed to admit it.
The U.S. State Department has issued additional travel advisories for multiple countries.
Grab your passport!
Travel advisories are typically issued when there are warnings about events in countries that travelers need to heed. These new travel advisories do not directly impact Disney vacation destinations, but they could still be worth knowing about for any travel plans you might have in the near future.
Traveling is about to get even more complicated.
Let’s fly!
In the midst of rising fuel prices, not only is airfare getting more expensive, but airlines have started cutting flights in an effort to offset fuel costs. American Airlines, United Airlines, and Southwest Airlines have all scaled back planned flight schedules to try and counter the increased cost of jet fuel, according to USA Today.
For the past several years, Disney World prices have increased around the same time every year — and we don’t expect this year to be any different.

It’s not just park tickets that increase in price, either. We typically see price hikes on everything from park tickets to Annual Passes, and from restaurant prices to popular snacks as well. Recently, these price increases have been announced in October, and we’re anxiously anticipating them to arrive within the coming weeks. Here’s everything you need to know so that you can be prepared when planning your 2027 Disney World trip.
