Do you remember the Unicorn Cupcake from Disney’s All Star Music Resort? This Intermission Food Court cupcake gem has stood the test of time due to its eye-catching appearance (‘cuz, UNICORNS) and super fun surprise filling.

We’ve got another cupcake from Intermission Food Court at Disney’s All Star Music Resort for you today. We just reviewed the current Character Icon cupcake (a tribute to Aladdin‘s Genie), and now we’re back for the Banana Split Cupcake.
This one has graced the bakery case at Intermission Food Court for a little while now, so since it appears to be something of a hit we grabbed it on our recent visit.
Those layers of buttercream you see on the top are not simply for show. The different colors of icing are actually different flavors, too: chocolate on top, vanilla in the middle, and strawberry on the bottom to resemble the classic dessert sundae! [Read more…]
Who’s ready for a cupcake break?!
You know we at the DFB are always up for one, and a really terrific place to find cupcakes as of late is Intermission Food Court in Disney World’s All Star Music Resort, thanks to their monthly-rotating Character Icon cupcakes.

With the resort’s December 16th opening date approaching, we have started to notice a few pieces of Riviera Resort merchandise popping up around Walt Disney World.
Hi, there! We’re back with another DFB Video today, and we’re talking about how Disney World is a lot like its own small country!
Did you know that Disney World has its own municipal government, has a GDP larger than some entire countries, and plays some surprising tricks to manage its voting population? Kinda sounds like it’s its own country doesn’t it? We’ll give you the details in our latest DFB YouTube Video!
Guests preparing to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel for their vacation have, for five years now, had the option to choose from a variety of colors when selecting their complimentary MagicBands to wear during their trip. Disney World Annual Passholders have likewise had the option to select a new MagicBand as they purchase or renew their pass for the year.
Disney has just announced that more options for customizing MagicBands prior to arrival at Walt Disney World will soon be available for guests to choose from as they prepare for their trip via the My Disney Experience website. [Read more…]
Hope you’re enjoying your weekend so far! We’re back with another DFB Video this weekend, and we’re talking about Character Dining in Walt Disney World… because we’ve gone to EVERY Character Meal (so you don’t have to)!
There are a LOT of Character Meals offered in Walt Disney World… and they are, understandably, a HUGE draw! Pairing a meal with a chance to meet several characters without waiting in line… well, what’s not to love? As it turns out, though, it’s not that simple, because there’s a lot to consider: which characters do you (or your children) most want to meet? What kind of food and service style do you enjoy? Where are all the various character meals located? We’re talking about ALL of that — along with tips and tricks for YOUR character meal — in our latest DFB YouTube Video!
Ahoy! The new kids-only Captain Hook’s Pirate Crew is now open at Disney’s Beach Club Resort and is setting sail nightly with new pirate recruits!
This swashbuckling new option is for kids ages 4-12 who get to cruise around Crescent Lake on a quest for a hidden treasure!
Before hitting the high seas the young Buccaneers will get official pirate names, solve puzzles, and gather their clues on land!

Great news (maybe?) if you’re going to be a Disney World hotel guest after Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens on August 29th!
Disney is extending park hours AND adding more Extra Magic Hour options to alleviate the Galaxy’s Edge crowds that will be flooding the Orlando parks this fall. So…yeah…it’s gonna be CROWDED in Disney World, but at least you can plan to get up really early and maybe not get as lost in the sea of humanity as you would have otherwise.
FYI, Extra Magic Hours are times when the parks are open exclusively for guests staying at resort hotels that offer the Extra Magic Hour benefit — those include the Disney World-owned resort hotels and several good neighbor hotels in the area.
They’re usually only offered at one or two parks per day, but this year, from September 1-November 2, those guests will be able to experience Extra Magic Hours at three Disney World theme parks…EVERY SINGLE DAY.
