The holiday season brings all kinds of special treats to Disney World!
We’ve been indulging in a lot of holiday cupcakes, cookies, drinks, and more! But some Disney World restaurants are also offering some NEW holiday menus!
Lovers, friends, and artists unite for this unique Walt Disney World Valentine’s Day experience.
If you are looking for a Disney-themed Valentine’s Day celebration, look no further than Disney’s Boardwalk Resort.
We love exploring all the Walt Disney World resorts that set up lively Christmas and Gingerbread displays during the holiday season. A favorite every year is in the lobby of the BoardWalk Inn.
On this visit, we had our sights set on one thing: HOLIDAY TREATS!
We’re back at Disney’s BoardWalk, where we noticed the strange disappearance of the NEW Ice Cream Taco at Ample Hills Creamery.
We shared our full review of this new menu item LAST week only to find that it had been removed from the menu this week…or so we thought.
Something just entered the Earth’s atmosphere over by the BoardWalk Bakery that we’re VERY excited to tell you about!

Trattoria al Forno
opened on Walt Disney World’s BoardWalk in 2014, and from its inception, the Italian eatery has been a warm and welcoming place for guests to enjoy a meal.
In 2017, Trattoria al Forno expanded its dining options by adding a unique character breakfast called the Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast. This character meal allows guests to meet Rapunzel, Flynn Ryder, Ariel, and Prince Eric while dining on entrees and pastries inspired by Tangled and The Little Mermaid.
The Bon Voyage Adventure is a playful meal full of references to the animated films, but dinner at Trattoria al Forno remains a sophisticated affair (as far as theme park dining goes). There’s no dress code here, which makes it a convenient spot to grab dinner after a day at nearby Hollywood Studios or Epcot. The restaurant is also just a quick walk from the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, making it relatively simple to get to even if you’re not staying at BoardWalk Inn and Villas.
We thoroughly enjoyed our initial dinner here when Trattoria opened, and I was excited to dig into more of the slightly eclectic menu and to savor a little more of the cozy ambiance.
Trattoria al Forno commands quite a bit of real estate on the BoardWalk, owing to its spacious interior. The black awnings and the gold text on the signs are classy and let you know that you’re about to dine in style. You’ll also find the BoardWalk’s walk-up pizza window tucked beneath one of the awnings.

Grabbing a quick bite to eat and enjoying the BoardWalk Inn and Villa‘s relaxing and eponymous boardwalk is a simple pleasure of a Walt Disney World vacation. And the BoardWalk Pizza Window has been a staple of the resort since the old days.
on Disney’s BoardWalk is one of our favorite, go-to spots for ice cream every time we’re at Disney World! Not only is Ample Hills home to amazing ice cream, but it’s located within walking distance to Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, and Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Hotels.
The house-made ice cream at Ample Hills is available in lots of unique flavors — which is why we always recommend the the Ice Cream Flight.
That way you can choose SIX different flavors!
And now, in celebration of Mickey Mouse’s 90th anniversary Ample Hills has teamed up with Disney to create THREE new birthday cake flavors of ice cream! [Read more…]
