Disney World’s free transportation system really can’t be beat. It’s FREE, for starters, but it’s also efficient and convenient.
Between Disney World buses, the Monorail, the Skyliner, and boats, you can get to pretty much anywhere you need to go on Disney World property. But sometimes closures can happen that can affect how you get from point A to point B. For example in bad weather, the Skyliner closes. Other circumstances also affect transportation, and we’ve got a closure to warn you about.
Disney World hotels have a lot going on right now…and by a lot…we mean a LOT of construction.
This is especially true with Disney World’s deluxe hotels. Many of them are under construction in some way. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is getting a brand new Disney Vacation Club Villas building. The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has been under construction for what feels like FOREVER. There’s a ton of construction at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn to bring TWO new dining spots to the area. And, well, another Disney World hotel will be undergoing construction in 2025.
What souvenirs do you like to bring home from Disney World?
We know a LOT of you are all about the pins (and pin trading). We know some of us like to bring home new ornaments for our Christmas tree. Of course, ears are ALWAYS a good souvenir to grab, as are popcorn buckets and sippers. However, there’s one super UNIQUE souvenir in Disney World that we are obsessed with, and it’s BACK!
We are officially almost halfway to Halloween and couldn’t be more excited!
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will be here before we know it, and while we’re still waiting to hear most of the details surrounding the party this year, we do know that some popular offerings will be returning. And now Disney has confirmed (in a roundabout way) that even MORE of our favorite offerings will be coming back!
As much as we love staying on Disney property, the experience isn’t perfect!
Since Disney opened up their first true hotels with Walt Disney World’s Contemporary and Polynesian Village in 1971 — The Disneyland Hotel does technically predate them, but has a twisting backstory that involves not being owned by Disney until the mid-1980s — staying on Disney property has become an integral part of Disney vacation experience for millions at each of the company’s resorts around the world. However, just because these hotels allow guests to remain in the “Disney bubble” for the duration of their vacation, it doesn’t mean staying at them is all sunshine and rainbows. [Read more…]
We’re all eagerly anticipating news of the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party dates for this fall and when tickets will go on sale, but that doesn’t keep us from already strategizing our time throughout the party night.

Happy Halloween!
Knowing how to make the most of your time and everything that’s available to see, do, and snack out throughout Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party nights is crucial right down to how some of Disney’s most popular rides will work during the party. So if you’re looking to be a savvy partygoer, we’ve compiled a list of the longest lines you’ll see during the party (and a few tips to help you beat them, too)! [Read more…]
When you write about vacations for a living, you hear a lot of travel buzzwords. Remember the “revenge travel” era after the pandemic? Well, these days, the hot new topic seems to be “excessive tourism.” Are things getting out of hand?

Fantasyland crowds in Magic Kingdom
It’s certainly not a crime to enjoy a little vacation. And let’s be honest, the concept of “summer vacation” is not new. People have been taking trips to the beach, or Disney World, or even Europe for DECADES. So what exactly is “excessive tourism,” and is it happening in Disney World?
You know Disney World is probably our favorite place on Earth. It is the Most Magical, after all.
When we step into the parks, we feel like we’re home. Now, it’s no accident that Disney has created the parks so perfectly that they make us feel that way. As much as we want to truly believe it’s all in the magic (which we’re convinced is real), it is also very much in the marketing. Disney doesn’t do anything on accident. The Imagineers, officials, and even Cast Members design the parks to be exactly what we want and need them to be so we feel at home (and spend all our money). But have you ever considered that one of our LEAST favorite parts of the parks is actually there completely on purpose?
