Muppets Haunted Mansion arrives on Disney+ next Friday, October 8th!

And there’s an entire collection of Muppets Haunted Mansion merchandise arriving online soon. But there’s a catch — you have to be a D23 Member to purchase the items!
We’re expecting a lot of sparkles and glitter during Disney World’s 50th anniversary, and in this case, you can actually EAT. GOLD.
Vivoli il Gelato
Vivoli il Gelato is located in Disney Springs, and they’re known for having more than a dozen flavors of gelato and sorbet. They also offer special seasonal flavors, like the beer ice cream we tried recently. Now they have a new special 50th anniversary treat, and it involves eating gold.
One of the noticeable differences throughout Disney World’s four theme parks during the 50th Anniversary Celebration are the Fab 50 Golden Character Statues! These statues representing 50 of the most beloved Disney characters can be found throughout Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

There’s a lot of statues to locate — in fact, there are a total of 30 statues representing 50 characters! It can take up quite a bit of time tracking them all down, which is why we wanted to help you on your next trip!

Disney World has already released a lot of 50th Anniversary merchandise in the parks.
New 50th Merchandise at World of Disney in Disney Springs
We’ve seen items from the Celebration, EARidescent, and Vault Collections already, along with the Minnie Ears from the Castle Collection. Now we have more information about the upscale Luxe Logo Collection, which will arrive in early November. Included in this collection are the sparkliest bedazzled ears that we’ve EVER seen.
Disney announced last month that a new planning program would be coming to the My Disney Experience app in Disney World called Disney Genie.

Genie is free and is designed to be used as a planning tool that is supposed to make your time at Disney World easier. It will have features like custom itineraries, forecasted wait times, and a virtual assistant. It’s scheduled to launch this fall, however, we do not have an official date yet. But today, we DID get a look at what Genie will look like when you’re using it on your phone!
Earlier this year, Disney announced that FastPass+ would be going away and new, paid FastPass-like systems would be taking its place.

The new, paid Genie+ service, along with Individual Attraction Selection, will become guests’ new ways to skip the lines at their favorite rides. We’ve already shared a bunch of information about these systems, but now we’ve got an update about how a particular aspect of Genie+ will operate.

We’ve got new entertainment, new merchandise, new fireworks, new attractions, new snacks...SO many things are new! But later this fall when Disney Genie+ launches at Disney World, a very OLD photo op will be returning to Magic Kingdom.
Tomorrow is Disney World’s 50th anniversary, and Disney is celebrating in style with an 18-month long event.
