Annual Pass
You can stay on top of every announcement and still run into rules that make you pause when you’re already halfway to the gates. Annual Passholders know this feeling better than almost anyone, especially when it comes to park reservations. Today we’re breaking down why the 2 PM reservation rule is still tripping people up and why so many Passholders are fed up with it.
Back in March 2025, Disney World lowered the down payment for its annual passes to $99 from $205– and increased the monthly payment depending on the type of pass. However, the lower down payment is no longer available, and the down payment has once again increased to $205.
Disney World Annual Pass
While the down payment has increased, the monthly payments have decreased. So, while you pay more upfront, your monthly cost will be lower. At the end of the day, pass prices have remained the same; all that has changed is when you actually end up paying the cost.

Disney previously announced some ticket CHANGES for Disney World Annual Passholders and Cast Members, and now we know WHEN those changes will begin!
Imagine being able to visit a place where there are virtually unlimited quantities of popcorn, endless rides through the sky, and friendly mice ready to greet you at the front door. Good news — such a place exists! Now, imagine being able to visit this magical place whenever you want; talk about a DREAM, right? Well, now that Disney is selling Annual Passes once again, you can escape reality whenever you feel like it!

Disney resumed Annual Pass sales on April 20th, and it was a HECTIC day! The virtual queue to enter the website was HOURS long on the first day of sales, but by day two, things seemed to have calmed down. Now that we’re a few days in, let’s check in on the availability of new Annual Passes!

Others have praised the Annual Pass throughout its existence, renewing theirs year after year. More recently, Disney World reintroduced Annual Pass sales after pausing them due to the pandemic-related closures, but then once again halted those sales for every pass tier but one. So, just how has the Walt Disney World Annual Pass transformed through the years, and how is Disney World different because of it?
Disney World introduced a brand new Annual Passholder program last year, but some people were able to renew into their current (now old) passes before the new program debuted.
