Today is the last day Disney World will be open until the end of the month due to the Coronavirus outbreak (and we’re getting pretty emotional).
Cinderella Castle
While many guests will miss visiting the parks during this time, the Disney College Program participants are officially having to say goodbye. Along with other Disney programs, the Disney College Program is temporarily being shut down due to the park closures. And, while the kids in the programs have to bid farewell to the magic for now, they have all brought a little bit of their own pixie dust into Magic Kingdom today.
With Disney World closing due to the Coronavirus, the Disney is doing everything they can to help guests with their vacations during this time.
Tables in Wonderland
Although Annual Passes and park tickets will be getting some extra pixie dust sprinkled on them, the Disney magic is extended to Tables in Wonderland memberships too!
Yesterday, The Walt Disney Company announced that Disneyland, Disney World, Disneyland Paris, AND the Disney Cruise Lines will all be temporarily closing in response to the coronavirus outbreak.Â

This is an unprecedented move closing the parks for this long. We’ve already seen the closures of Tokyo Disneyland, Hong Kong Disneyland, and Shanghai Disneyland due to the virus. But just how rare is the closure of a Disney park? Let’s take a look back at all of the times Disneyland and Walt Disney World have closed in the past.
UPDATE: While Disney was exempt from the recommendation, Disneyland has officially announced that the parks will temporarily close beginning March 14th. The resorts will close beginning on March 16th. And Downtown Disney will remain open for the time being. Learn more about the closure here.
It was announced Thursday morning that Gavin Newsom, the Governor of California, has recommended the canceling of gatherings of 250 or more people.
