Last night was a BIG night for Disney news! We were at the Disney Experiences Showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, and Disney dropped LOTS of news about what’s coming to the theme parks and beyond, including Disney Cruise Line!

We got lots of updates on the Disney Believe cruise ship, an announcement that an entire new class of ships is on its way, and so much more. But wait, that’s a LOT going on. Don’t worry, we’re here to break it all down!
Many of us are used to things working how they should 100% of the time; especially when it comes to the instant gratification of the internet, it can be hard to pivot when something goes down and doesn’t work how it should.
Disney Magic Cruise Ship
A lot of the time, these outages or problems are unplanned, making them even more jarring, but other times, companies try to get ahead of issues and let us know ahead of time that something is going to be down for maintenance. That’s just what happened with the Disney Cruise Line website — Disney gave us the heads-up that for 24 hours in July, the website will be down for maintenance, which means no cruise bookings.
Recently, Disney CFO Hugh Johnson spoke at MoffettNathanson’s Media, Internet & Communications Conference. He shared many insights into current projects and the future of the Disney Company.

He also shared some information on Disney Cruise Line, which showed us we should expect to see more international ships in the future. Let’s get into everything we learned from the presentation.

The Disney Wish will be setting sail to Bahamian destinations throughout 2025 and 2026. Disney just released there FULL three-night and four-night itineraries for the Disney Wish, and we’re giving you all information you need to know! In December 2024, the Disney Treasure set sail giving us a taste of what’s to come and now it’s time for the Disney Adventure to take the spotlight with tons of new experiences! We’re so excited to check out all the new dining and entertainment on board, but one of the perks we’re most looking forward to is the AquaMouse! This is a ride similar to the attraction of the same name on the Disney Wish cruise ship, but with a new storyline. However, this attraction is quite popular, so if you’re looking to avoid some long lines, here are the times you DO NOT want to ride!

We can’t wait to cruise on this new ship and check out all of its offerings, like the Haunted Mansion-inspired bar, Coco-themed restaurant, the exciting new stage shows on the way, and so much more. You’ll often find special merchandise themed to Disney Cruise Line or the ship itself on board as well, and you NEED to see the sneak peek we just got of the Disney Treasure merchandise!
Going on a Disney Cruise is very different from vacationing in the Disney parks.
The Disney Wish
While the parks are usually go, go, go, a Disney Cruise is much more laid back. That includes when you head to Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay. While you can go snorkeling, parasailing, bike around the island, etc., you can also just lie on a towel and relax! You can also meet some of your favorite characters on the island, but if you do, you should know that there’s been a change recently!
Disney cruises have a lot of exclusive offerings that you can’t find anywhere else.
Disney Cruise Line
There are restaurants unique to each ship, special shows, one-of-a-kind attractions, and more. While including the usual Disney magic, some cruises also include extra themed days, like Marvel Day at Sea. And now, NEW Marvel characters are coming to the Disney Cruise Line experience soon!
