We hate to say it, but the day has come. The asteroid is coming down on Dinoland U.S.A. after today.
DINOSAUR
Today is the last day that DinoLand U.S.A. is open before it permanently closes to make way for Tropical Americas: Pueblo Esperanza. It’s hard for all of us to see the restaurants and the beloved attraction, DINOSAUR, go away. We expected there were going to be lots of guests at Animal Kingdom to say goodbye to the land, but we weren’t prepared for crowds like this!
As much as it pains us, Animal Kingdom will be without one of our favorite lands in just a short 7 days.

It’s true — while the day originally felt far away (and yet, far too close at the same time), DinoLand U.S.A. in Animal Kingdom is permanently closing in just one week. Yes, something new is coming in its place that we’re looking forward to, but we’re ALSO wondering how many times we can ride DINOSAUR in one week. 🤔

This land began closing in early 2025 to make way for the new Tropical Americas land, but we got to experience our beloved Dinosaur attraction for another year. However, that time has come to an end — this is your reminder that in just ONE month, the rest of DinoLand, U.S.A. will close forever.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom is getting a MAJOR makeover with Pueblo Esperanza — a Tropical Americas-themed land. However, before the new land fully takes shape, the park will need to say goodbye to DinoLand U.S.A.

The removal of DinoLand sadly also means the end of the DINOSAUR attraction, which will ultimately give way to a brand-new Indiana Jones ride similar in ride mechanics to DINOSAUR and Disneyland’s Indiana Jones Adventure, but with an original story. DINOSAUR is set to close permanently sometime in 2026, and when it does, its absence will create an unavoidable problem.
