When you’re going to Disney World, it’s important to expect the unexpected. Plans can change last minute, so we like to always have a Plan B, Plan C, and maybe even Plans D, E, and F.

Today, bad weather in Orlando meant that a LOT of rides were temporarily closed throughout the four Disney World theme parks. However, the unusual thing is that a few indoor rides shut down temporarily as well! Let’s take a look.

No matter how much you plan for your Disney World vacation, it’s always possible for a wrench to get thrown into the works and mess everything up. However, that wrench will NOT be the rain.

Many people believe that all the outdoor rides in Disney World close when it’s raining. However, that’s not true — the problem isn’t the rain. The problem is what usually comes with the rain.
Right after the new year, crowds typically die down at Disney Parks (at least slightly) and Disney takes advantage of that to make changes and refurbish rides and other areas.
2023 will be no exception. While most Disney fans have their eye on the permanent closure of the classic (and controversial) log flume ride Splash Mountain at both Disney World and Disneyland, there are some temporary ride closures you also need to be aware of.
A popular Magic Kingdom ride is CLOSING in early 2023, and no, we’re not talking about Splash Mountain.

Rides can shut down unexpectedly for many reasons, like for bad weather, technical difficulties, or even large power outages. And today, there are some very popular rides that are shut down in one Disney World park!
Even Disney World attractions wake up sometimes and decide to take a day off! While some attractions, like Expedition Everest, have been unavailable for a few months now, other rides may randomly close without warning. You never know when a Star Wars animatronic on Rise of the Resistance or the Na’vi shaman on Na’vi River Journey may decide to take a break!
