Whether it’s for technical difficulties, bad weather, or an unknown issue, sometimes rides are closed in Disney World and there’s nothing you can do about it but wait. And, a ride that is no stranger to being shut down is once again closed today in Magic Kingdom.
Guess who’s back?
Disney World rides shut down for maintenance all the time, and while we hate to see them go, sometimes these rides need a bit of upkeep to make sure they’re in perfect condition. Plus, we get to celebrate when they come back. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad fans rejoice; the iconic attraction is back!
Rides and hotels across Disney World are constantly being updated and improved, so we see them close for construction or other reasons periodically.
Just so that you’re aware of any closures that are happening during your Disney World trip, we checked out which rides and hotels are expected to be closed soon. Keep in mind that rides can still close unexpectedly if bad weather, technical difficulties, or other issues create problems that make them unsafe to ride.
