“Gawrsh!”
Be still our Goofy-lovin’ hearts! Recently we spotted a ton of NEW Goof Troop and A Goofy Movie inspired apparel Disney Style in Disney Springs as well as online!
Hello, there friends! It’s officially spooky season in Disneyland Resort, as the NEW (and already sold out!) Oogie Boogie Bash — A Disney Halloween Party has kicked off in Disney California Adventure.
We’ve already told you all about the new Treat Trails — which you can learn about here! Now we want to chat about all the new entertainment offerings we experienced at the party, from parades to shows and everything in between.
Gawrsh! Disney World Annual Passholders, get ready to be as stylish as Goofy himself!
While we’ve spotted MagicBand upgrades on the My Disney Experience App and an exclusive Annual Passholder MagicBand in Galaxy’s Edge, there are some new things to add to your collection!
A couple months ago, we gave you a sneak peek the medals for the 2020 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, which will take place on January 8-12, 2020.
And today, runDisney has given us a much closer look at the medals for each particular race! Let’s explore them together.
Epcot is currently undergoing a MASSIVE transformation and a lot of changes have started to take place.
Locations like Fountain View and Club Cool (bye-bye, for now, Beverly) have officially closed. And Epcot’s Character Spot meet-and-greet location has been relocated.
is about as classic a Walt Disney World character buffet as they come.
Located on the fourth floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort and in the shadows of arriving and departing Monorail trains, Chef Mickey’s is a character buffet featuring the Fab Five — Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, and Donald — in their finest chef attire.
The open, raucous space is dominated by sparse design and seemingly endless food choices, making it a great place for many families. No need to shush the kids when they devolve into squeals of delight with Minnie coming around the corner. No worries about finding something for everyone to eat. Just grab a plate, fill up, and get some character love.
But the food quality here hasn’t been great in the past, and while it’s certainly passable, for THAT price you expect something that’s good, at least, not something that’s mediocre. Still, Chef Mickey’s draws a crowd — you’ll definitely want to snag an Advance Dining Reservation if you want to eat here — and it’s all about that Fab Five meet and greet life.
I ventured to Chef Mickey’s with my family for brunch to see if the food is showing any signs of improvement (and to peep the Fab Five in their chef-y finest!).
Like its food, Chef Mickey’s isn’t winning any awards for its decor or atmosphere, unfortunately. [Read more…]
Welcome back to another What’s New coming at you from Disneyland Resort
where we took a loooooong stroll through both Parks, Downtown Disney, and the Grand Californian Hotel to bring you food updates, new merchandise, construction progress, and — this time! — loads of character pics, including this guy.
He won’t be buying everyone churros after the What’s New, but he’s still fun. 😉
We’ve got some seriously fun news about disney transportation that you’re gonna want to celebrate!
The Disney Bus system is a lifesaver whenever you’re in the parks. You never have to worry about parking, you get to pull right up to the entrance of your destination, and your ride is usually simple and pleasant. In addition to all those perks, Disney Transportation is about to get super spectacular.
As many of you may know, Epcot is undergoing a pretty HUGE transformation, and as part of that transformation, a lot of familiar locations will be getting an overhaul. And beginning September 8, the popular Character Spot will close temporarily.
Character Spot is actually home to two character meet-and-greet areas, which are located across from one another in Epcot. [Read more…]

Jambo
from Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
Time to visit one of our favorite character dining locations: Tusker House! Tusker House is located in Animal Kingdom’s African village of Harambe and offers a character buffet for breakfast and lunch and a “family style dinner buffet” (really just a buffet — no family style service), also with characters!
One added element of dining at Tusker House is the opportunity to reserve the Rivers of Light Dining Package here, which saves a seat at Animal Kingdom’s newly-revamped Rivers of Life: We Are One nighttime spectacular. Generally, the price differential between the character meal and the dining package is pretty small here, so you may find it’s worth the slight splurge to score that reserved seating.
We weren’t after the Dining Package this time, but we sure were excited to see if the food and experience at Tusker House lived up to its past quality. And we ended up eating TWO full meals at once, which we really didn’t expect! (Read on to find out how we did it!)
Tusker House is a charming restaurant located on your left-hand side in Harambe as you head toward Kilimanjaro Safaris. Check in is at a stand near the Dawa Bar, and you’ll be given a pager. Here you’re welcome to glance at the menu — but keep in mind it’s pretty generic because it’s a buffet! (Don’t worry: we’ll get more specific, and we have photos of EVERYTHING below!)
