This popular ride in Disney World will be closed for at least a year, reopening sometime in 2026 with a “little bit of new magic.” If you wanted to ride it one last time, you were able to do so on Sunday, January 5th, but now you will have to wait at least a year before hopping on “The Wildest Ride in the Wilderness” once again. With the closure, we noticed Disney made another small but impactful change at Magic Kingdom!

A NEW Park Map Is Now in Magic Kingdom
BIG changes are happening in Disney World, people.
From the hotels to EPCOT to Magic Kingdom and more, a lot is going on nearly everywhere you look. Speaking of Magic Kingdom, we’re keeping an eye on all the progress at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and getting excited for its eventual opening in 2024. And it looks like we might not be the only ones either, because a NEW park map has landed in Magic Kingdom!
BIG Change Comes to Magic Kingdom Park Map
It’s official you guys — Splash Mountain is now permanently closed at Magic Kingdom, making way for the new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ride in Frontierland.
The ride had its last day yesterday and was marked by LONG wait times as fans flocked to the park to say their goodbyes. But now, just a day later, we’re already seeing some changes in the park!
