food IS a theme park
At first glance, there’s not much space in the Magic Kingdom that isn’t being used for something, especially with the recent closures of the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island to make room for Piston Peak.

However, upon closer inspection of the park’s map, there are some areas that are woefully underutilized!
Yesterday we had our first experience watching Disney World’s new Character Cavalcades roll by at Magic Kingdom!
Aladdin and Mary Poppins!
Instead of character greetings, parades, and fireworks shows (which have been temporarily put on hold), guests can enjoy these smaller processionals which are featured randomly throughout the day. That way, folks will still have the opportunity to interact and snap of few pics of their favorite Disney friends — but from afar!
