New attractions, new restaurants, new hotels — Disney World is getting some MAJOR renovations (that we are extremely excited about) currently.
With changes in the park happening in full swing, it’s no surprise that the transportation system is getting some pretty big updates to better accommodate guests AND the new developments. So what’s so different about transportation and how does it affect your stay at Disney World? Well, we have some good (and bad!) news for you, friends!
The Skyliner Gondola System isn’t open yet, but we’re trying to get as many little peeks as possible.
While the new transportation system doesn’t open officially until September 29th in Disney World, we’ve seen lots of construction around the parks the past few months. Now, though, you can catch a glimpse of the Skyliner system somewhere new!
An annual pass could be an amazing purchase for the frequent Disney World visitor. The ability to go to Disney World practically whenever you want? Um, yes, please!

Disney World’s Riviera Resort is slated to open THIS YEAR and we can hardly wait! The new Disney Vacation Club resort is expected to open December 16 and will offer views of the Epcot and Hollywood Studios’ nighttime shows, Disney Skyliner access, AND a highly-anticipated new restaurant (with a character meal!), Topolino’s Terrace — Flavors of the Riviera.

Disney just announced that the new Riviera Resort, opening this December, will feature a lounge that honors Walt Disney’s travels through Europe.
The new lounge will be called Voyageurs’ Lounge and according to Disney will offer guests an “an artful little gathering place” to relax and share vacation memories.
Disney World’s upcoming Riviera Resort is slated to open this fall.
The design for this Disney Vacation Club Resort is “inspired by the European grandeur Walt Disney experienced in his travels along the Mediterranean coastline.” And it has been announced that reservations will open for the general public this month.
