WOW! The opening day of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is FINALLY here — and the general public will finally have the opportunity to explore the planet of Batuu, sip on creative concoctions at Oga’s Cantina, and fly the Millennium Falcon.
Though we have known about all of the exciting shops, attractions, and dining locations that the land offers, one question has been stuck in our mind. How do you get it?! And Disney has FINALLY answered this question today!

Today, we celebrated the dedication of Hollywood Studios’ Galaxy’s Edge. Bright and early tomorrow morning the new land will officially open to the public! If you’re one of the brave souls ready to make the lightspeed jump to Batuu for opening day, we’ve gathered some of the most important tips you need to know to ensure you have a successful day navigating Black Spire Outpost in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Hiya, pals! The opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is FINALLY happening…TOMORROW! And to prepare, Disney World has been making a few changes around the resorts for the big opening weekend.
Earlier we shared that select counter service locations around the Disney World hotels would be opening EARLY to ensure that guests’ bellies are full before their adventure to the planet of Batuu. But now we’re back to share that Disney has also extended the hours for the resort buses and Friendship Boats!
officially opens in Walt Disney World on Thursday, August 29th (it’s tomorrow, people!!).
In anticipation of hungry travelers, Disney has decided to extend the hours of a few Quick-Service locations around Disney Resorts, so guests can fill their bellies before entering Batuu.
The sporks are back in town — the sporks are back in town!! Many of you may remember the fun metal sporks that were available for use for a short period of time at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo in Disneyland.
Sadly, they were removed from the location, likely thanks to people trying to take them home as free souvenirs. BUT TODAY, we spotted these adorable little utensils at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo in Walt Disney World!

The Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser news keeps on comin’ this week! Today on the Walt Disney World Resort’s page, a piece of concept art depicting a lounge onboard the Halcyon has a name: The Silver C Lounge!
The only description reads, “Sip a drink in this stylish lounge, a warm and inviting retreat for passengers of all ages.” [EDITOR’S UPDATE 5/4/21: Please note that a name change has been announced since this post was originally published, and the Silver C Lounge is now called The Sublight Lounge.]
