EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays is underway, and we’ve had some delicious eats this year!
One of the Holiday Kitchens that we really enjoyed this year is Holiday Hearth, set up inside the World Showplace. This booth is home to a variety of festive desserts, including one that we enjoyed more than we expected to — the Salted Caramel Spaceship Earth Cookie (which you can get the recipe for here). Now, the Spaceship Earth Cookie has received a holiday makeover and we don’t really know how to feel about it… .
Disney is certainly not joking around when it comes to its streaming offerings, especially Disney+.
During the recent Disney Investor Day webcast, the company announced LOADS (seriously loads) of new movies and TV shows coming to the service. They also announced that Disney+ had already surpassed 86 million subscribers just a year after its initial launch.
This is decidedly NOT what dreams are made of!
We’ve got bad news for fans of Disney Channel classics. We were ecstatic last year when it was announced that Lizzie McGuire was getting a reboot to show us all-grown-up Lizzie living life with the help of her family and friends. Now, though, it seems that reboot won’t be happening.

Recently, its entertainment and media divisions were restructured to focus on streaming, and long-time Imagineer Joe Rohde announced that he would be retiring. Now, another member of the Disney team who has worked with the Company for over 40 years, has announced that he will be retiring.
It’s been several months since Disney World reopened its gates to the public.
Airports and airlines are beginning to adjust their health and safety regulations as events unfold. Restrictions are easing up on international travel and airports are implementing new protocols. Just this week we reported on a fancy new system that monitors crowd levels and cleaning frequency. Guests visiting Florida for a trip to Disney World will have more flight options if they choose to fly with Frontier Airlines.
Even though we don’t have traditional character meet-and-greets and meals right now, Disney has been very creative when implementing ways for us to interact with our Disney friends!
Just this morning, characters returned to Chef Mickey’s at the Contemporary (in socially-distanced fashion), and we’ve seen several fun cavalcades and distanced meet-and-greets in the parks. We speculated a few weeks ago whether or not characters might come around to visit the Disney World Resorts again, and then we spotted some friends over at Disney’s Grand Floridian last week! Today, we saw a few characters again, this time at Disney’s Riviera Resort! And they showed up in a cool ride!
Eek! We noticed something exciting as we headed into Walt Disney World today!
Not too long ago, Disney announced that the Walt Disney World entrance signs would be getting a brand new color palette to complement Cinderella Castle’s new look. Now, that transformation is complete on one of the main drives and we’re taking a look at the NEW and IMPROVED gateway!
