The Festival of Holidays at Disney California Adventure happens each holiday season at the Disneyland Resort! The 2018 Festival is planned for November 9, 2018 through January 6, 2019!
The Festival of Holidays celebrates the season with special entertainment, music, and FOOD!
It’s a beautiful time of year to be in Disney California Adventure!
In 2016, Fourteen Festival Marketplace Booths debuted along with the Festival, featuring everything from global bites to comfort foods to traditional holiday goodies. In 2018, there were be 12 Festive Marketplace Booths.
You can also grab a Tasting Passport to keep track of everything you eat during the Festival… and everything you still want to try!
Additional entertainment abounds for the Festival of Holidays!
Disney Viva Navidad will return to Paradise Garden in 2018. This street party hosted by The Three Caballeros features live music, samba dancers, 12-foot-tall mojiganga puppets, and Disney character appearances!
Performances featuring global holiday music and dance included:
- The Sound performing a cappella soulful renditions of Kwanzaa and Christmas songs
- Mariachi Divas singing mariachi versions of holiday songs (Tuesdays through Thursdays during Holiday Sunset Concerts)
- Mostly Kosher honoring Hanukkah in eclectic musical styles
- BLUE 13 Dance Company celebrating Diwali with folk dance and a Bollywood party
- Phat Cat Swinger presenting swinging brass twists on holiday music (Fridays through Mondays during Holiday Sunset Concerts)
- Holiday Toy Drummers dropping the drum beat

Princess Elena’s Musical Grand Arrival
Princess Elena of Avalor’s Musical Grand Arrival takes place around Paradise Bay several times each day. The Princess will arrive on a magical float and share songs and stories from her native land.
Meet Santa Claus
Meet the Big Guy himself — Santa Claus! — at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail from November 9 – December 24.
Santa’s elves have turned Redwood Creek Challenge Trail into a festive playground full of games and outdoor activities.
Starting December 25th through the end of the Festival, Santa Goofy will take Santa’s place for photos.
Three Kings Day
During the final days of the Festival, Disneyland will also celebrate Three Kings Day, El Día de los Reyes Magos. Latin American traditions will be honored in this three day celebration which will also include Childrens’ Activities (including custom crown decorating) and beautiful displays. Also be on the lookout for Rosca de Reyes, a traditional circular cake (yours might include a baked-in surprise!).
World of Color — Season of Light
The Festival of Holidays also typically features a holiday version of the nighttime spectacular, World of Color — Season of Light. However, please note that World of Color is currently down for a refurbishment through late 2018. We will update this page when the show makes its return!
