Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival officially kicked off today, and if the words “food and wine festival” immediately make you picture massive lines and crowds of people standing between you and your shrimp boil tacos, have we got a tip for you!
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine kicked off today, and to say it’s been delicious is an understatement. And now, amongst all the food and wine, we’ve discovered BEER MARSHMALLOWS. Yes — you read that correctly. House-Made Beer Marshmallows!
And these aren’t just some delicious house-made marshmallows kickin’ it solo. Oh, no! They’re coated in milk chocolate and topped with a pretzel! Salty, sweet, and beer-y! But wait! That’s not all… [Read more…]
Helloooo there from California! We are still here enjoying the 2019 Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival and came across a stop-in-our-tracks-must-buy treat. Introducing… the Chocolate Peanut Butter Churro!!

It’s nearly time for the start of Disney California Adventure’s Food & Wine Festival in Disneyland Resort! We’re going to be on the ground tasting all the things — and we’ve got the info you need to make the most of this Festival, too!

Happy Birthday, Disney California Adventure! Disneyland Resort’s second park opened on February 8, 2001, so DCA is 18 years young today!
After a rocky start, I think DCA has really come into its own. With the addition of Pixar Pier, Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout, and now Marvel Land coming to the park, there’s so much to enjoy and to anticipate!
But today we wanted to celebrate this enterprising little park by sharing some of our favorite treats — old and new — to get at the snack locations and shops around DCA! Let us know which is YOUR favorite!
Hot Link Corn Dog and Cheese Stick Corn Dog — Corn Dog Castle
It’s not a visit to Disneyland Resort without stopping for a corn dog, and one of our favorite spots is Corn Dog Castle! Here you can get a traditional hand-dipped corn dog, but you can also order the Hot Link Corn Dog and the Cheese Stick Corn Dog. See our review here! The Hot Link is a spicy dog coated in classic corn batter. It’s delicious and packs a bit of a punch!
The Cheese Stick Corn Dog is exactly what you think: a stick of cheddar cheese that has been battered and deep fried. [Read more…]
Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival begins NEXT WEEK, and it continues until November 12, 2018. That’s 75 days of food, wine, demonstrations, celebrity chefs, special events, seminars, etc., etc.
Yeah, it’s a lot. And whether you’re a Food and Wine pro or a newbie, navigating this massive (and massively popular!) Festival can be a little overwhelming. That’s where your old pals at the DFB come in! We’ve accumulated a lot of experience in our LOOONG relationship with Food and Wine — and we’ve assembled all of that experience in one place: the DFB Guide to the 2018 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival!
Here are some of the most popular FAQs from DFB readers and Food and Wine visitors — with answers direct from the DFB Guide!
Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival is a fabulous opportunity to eat lots of great food and to drink lots of great drinks. And while we know we’ll be putting some of our returning favorites on our must-eat list — we also make a second list: New Stuff We Can’t Wait to Try! (Yeah, we’re all about lists here at DFB!)
And this is that list — including a few items we got the chance to sample recently!
Guinness Baileys Shake – Ireland
The new Guinness Bailey’s Shake from the Ireland booth got us all kinds of excited when we saw it on the menu! We were expecting a frozen, creamy drink with a powerful hit of Guinness and Baileys — and that’s just what we got when we tried it during a preview! PLUS it comes with the glass! We can’t wait to try it again!
The Shimmering Sips Mimosa Bar is brand new this year, and the offerings sound incredible! Mimosas include varieties like the Tropical Mimosa and the Madras Mimosa (which we have tried!), and there’s a tasty-sounding, kid-friendly drink called Frozen Apple Pie!
But aside from those intriguing drinks, the Mimosa Bar is also serving up pastries like an Almond Croissant and a Cheese Danish with Sweet Icing! One of each, please! [Read more…]

Now let’s take a little look at these food booths shall we? It’s like we’re seeing old friends again after a long absence…
If you haven’t already, mark your calendars for August 31-November 13, as the festival extends to an unprecedented 75 full days for the first time ever! And be sure to bookmark our 2017 Epcot Food and Wine Festival Main Page, because that’s where you can access all the details — including events, schedules, and booking dates!
Maybe you can’t tell, but we tend to get a little excited around here for F&W. 😉 And part of the countdown is reviewing some of the events that we had the pleasure to attend the previous year.
New to the festival in 2016, Disney added Mix It! Make It! Celebrate It! Hands-On Workshops at Festival Center — daily opportunities for guests to roll up their sleeves and participate in the learning process. And the event is BACK for 2017!
Last year, workshops were offered covering everything from sushi making to creating clean treats! We really enjoyed a workshop on the latter, as we learned how to make a killer brownie, courtesy of Erin McKenna of Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC in Disney Springs. [Read more…]
