While you might be putting up your Christmas trees, lights, and stockings…
…Jock Lindsey’s is switching things up from an adventurer’s paradise to an explosion of holiday cheer in Disney World! Our favorite time of the year is here, and Jock Lindsey’s Hangar HOLIDAY Bar is giving us some major festive vibes with all its decorations and (most importantly) themed menu items!
We’re still LOVING the fun decor up for the holidays around Jock’s, and the addition of new eats and sips got us even MORE excited.
So let’s dig into some of the BEST treats and sip on the amazing drinks from the holiday menu in Disney Springs for this year!
Since there are 9 new menu items for Christmas at Jock Lindsey’s, we’ll be diving into ALL of them with the C9 Light Deviled Eggs, Ugly “Sweeter” Bread, Jingle Bell Pops, Drummer Boy Braised Lamb, Holiday Caprese Wreath, White Christmas Margarita, Santa Hat Mojito, and Cinnamon Bells!
Christmas might just be one of those holidays where deviled eggs are a MUST. And, the C9 Light Deviled Eggs look AH-MAZING with their colored egg whites, topped with shrimp and tobiko caviar for $12.
While the deviled eggs taste pretty normal, we still love them! The dyed “lights” are adorable, but they make the eggs a lot harder and chewier than the regular ole’ deviled eggs on the plate. The shrimp is soft and well-seasoned, adding a burst of flavor to the egg. Although we think these are pretty tasty, they definitely could use more tabiko caviar (it was hiding in there, but just barely!).
I’m pretty sure our moms has an entire collection of ugly Christmas sweaters that would fit right in with the Ugly “Sweeter” Bread. The themed dessert is made with cinnamon smear brioche and egg nog icing, all lit up with holiday light decorations for $10.
Yeah, so I think we all can agree that this dessert fits its name ’cause it’s not very pretty. But, boy, is it YUMMY! The bread itself is fresh, soft, and warm. Although there is plenty of delicious egg nog icing, the treat isn’t overly sweet or dense. Instead, they taste more like donuts instead of cinnamon brioche rolls. If we could have this ugly sweater all year long, we totally would!!
Jingle Bell Rock? More like Jingle Bell Pops! The three dark chocolate truffles look like Christmas lights with their crushed peppermint and peppermint syrup dipped in dark chocolate, finished with edible glitter (!!!)…
…and mistletoe…
…Santa’s belt…
…and snowflake decorations for $14.
If you like dark chocolate, this treat is for you, friends! The truffles aren’t very sweet, but they are certainly rich. The hint of peppermint comes through with each bite, but the flavor isn’t super prominent. Instead, it’s more of a dark chocolate lover’s dream (which we are VERY okay with).
The Jingle Bell Pops are pretty dense, but you can get a fourth for $5 extra if you’re craving another!
Pa rum pum pum-pum, the Drummer Boy Braised Lamb with Truffle has arrived! The dish comes with Braised lamb atop Mushroom and Manchego Cheese Arancini, Herb Chimichurri, Chili Peppers Coulis, and Micro Arugula.
We never thought that braised lamb could taste SO GOOD. The Drummer Boy Braised Lamb is quite possibly one of the tastiest things we’ve EVER had at Disney Springs. The lamb is braised to a slightly crispy point, but it balances wonderfully with crunch from the fried arancini, Manchego, and mushrooms.
The arancini is an Italian risotto cake filled with the Manchego cheese and mushrooms, but the flavors come through with each bite. The chimichurri and chili peppers coulis underneath the cakes blend everything together very well, making it absolutely delish.
The Holiday Caprese Wreath might be cute enough to use as a decoration around your house with its vine ripe tomatoes, heirloom cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, and balsamic glaze for $12.
During a holiday feast, those stretchy pants are definitely necessary! But, the Holiday Caprese Wreath is a deliciously light meal to balance out the heavy Christmas eats and treats. The veggies are extremely fresh, complemented by the generous slices of cheese and slight sweetness from the balsamic. Plus, the bursts of flavor from the tomatoes tie the entire dish together!
Drinks are on us ’cause Jock Lindsey’s holiday sips are worth having for a few rounds!
Grab your boots, belts, and your reindeer ’cause we’re trying the Santa Hat Mojito! The new drink is made with Bacardi, grenadine, mint leaves, simple syrup, lemon-lime foam, and a candy cane garnish for $13.
While you might be leaving out cookies for Santa, maybe you can snag him one of these bbs too! The mojito is really tasty, combining sweet and tart flavors that go super well together. The fresh mint adds a hint of bitterness to the drink (that’s wonderful!), and the peppermint flavor gets even stronger as the candy cane melts into the Santa Hat Mojito. We might have to ditch the ‘nog for this drink, you guys!
Dashing through the snow on a one-horse open sleigh sounds like a great time with the Cinnamon Bells in hand! The cocktail is mixed up with Knob Creek, Fireball, Frangelico, cinnamon simple syrup, and creamer garnished with a gold sugar rim for $14.
The holidays are about family, food, and fun! And, the Cinnamon Bells is a sweet drink that’s a blast to sip on! The flavor reminds us of eggnog, but not quite. It’s not as heavy, but it’s still just as refreshing while you shop till ya drop for Christmas! Our favorite part has to be the gold sugar rim, which we think every drink in Disney World should have (we’ll be waiting).
Just before we leave Jock Lindsey’s, we’re dreaming of a White Christmas Margarita with its Rumchata, Malibu, Sauza Tequila, lime and white cranberry juices garnished with whole cranberries and a green sugar rim.
The White Christmas Margarita is very sweet. Even though we didn’t taste the lime in the drink, the Rum Chata is the more prominent flavor in each sip! We kinda think that the White Christmas doesn’t fit the typical margarita label, since the rim is also sugary. The only tart flavor is from the sour cranberries (which are a really nice touch). Although we think this is a yummy holiday drink, we think it would have been even better with more tequila!
If you’re looking to sip on a classic, you can also get the Jock’s Holiday Nog made with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Frangelico, Rumchata, vanilla creamer, and a red sugar rim and the Jock Frost with Rumchata, Malibu rum, blue curaçao, and pineapple juice.
Okay, so Jock Lindsey’s might be in our top three stops for Christmas treats this year! We seriously can’t get enough of the sweet and savory eats, treats, and drinks we tried (and will definitely be back for more).
Don’t those all sound AH-MAZING too?! You can get all the holiday items from Jock Lindsey’s now through January 5th, 2020!
